Starting from August 23, 2025, according to the signed federal law, the validity period of an electronic visa is increased to 120 days, and the maximum period of stay in the territory of the Russian Federation under this document is up to 30 days.
President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has signed a federal law, (http://publication.pravo.gov.ru/document/0001202507230058 ) providing for a significant expansion of the conditions of entry to Russia for foreign tourists, business partners and guests.
According to the new rules, the validity period of an electronic visa has been increased to 120 days from the date of its registration, which is 2 times more than the previous one, and the allowable period of stay in Russia has been extended to 30 days, instead of the previous 16.
The regulatory act comes into force 30 days after its official publication on August 23, 2025.
