Malaysian tour operators have tested the halal tourist route "Nature's Embrace" in Tatarstan, created last year specifically for Arab travelers. The promotional and information tour was organized with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan. The guests have already got acquainted with Kazan, appreciated the national cuisine. Their trip will end with a study of the tourist potential of the neighboring region, the Republic of Mari El.
The Republic of Tatarstan continues to develop halal tourism: this year, a specially designed Nature's Embrace route was tested by tour operators from Malaysia. The tourism product was created last year and presented at the International Economic Forum. “Russia - the Islamic world: Kazanforum” especially for Arab travelers.
The route has already been included in the Time to travel catalog, which the Discover Russia center has prepared for the Persian Gulf market. Nature's Embrace offers guests an immersion in the nature and culture of Tatarstan with visits to Kazan, glamping, local entertainment and acquaintance with halal cuisine.
This year, an advertising and information tour was organized jointly with the Center for Strategic Research with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. Together with the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism, nine professional tour operators and a blogger from Malaysia visited the republic.
The guests followed the approved route, which included an overview of Kazan from the observation deck of the Kazan Family Center, a walk along Bauman Street, a visit to the Kremlin and the Kul Sharif Mosque. The delegation had lunch at the Umai restaurant, walked around the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda and the Tugan Avylym complex, where dinner was held at the Kaleidoscope gastrotheater. The program also includes shopping at the Center for Unique Craftsmanship (CUC), an excursion to the island-city of Sviyazhsk and a visit to the alpaca park "Pacha Mama".
Within the framework of the International Economic Forum "Russia - the Islamic World: Kazanforum", a delegation led by Shaharuddin Bin Abu Sokhot, Secretary General of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia, took part in a meeting of the Russian-Malaysian working group on partnership between the countries.
Their trip will end with an acquaintance with the neighboring region - colleagues will also go to Yoshkar-Ola to explore the tourist potential of the Republic of Mari El, and the promotional and informational tour will end with a visit to Moscow.
This work is aimed at achieving the goals of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" to increase the export of travel services three times by 2030.
