In the capital of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Vientiane, an agreement on cooperation in tourism development was signed between the largest travel company in Laos Champamay Travel and the Association of Travel Agencies of the Republic of Tatarstan.
As part of the official visit of the delegation of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism to Laos, which included the leading tour operators of the republic, a cooperation agreement aimed at the development of tourism between Tatarstan and Laos was concluded. The agreement was signed by the President of the Association of Travel Agencies of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ramil Miftakhov and the president of the company Champamay Travel, Sonethida Ounaphom.
The delegation of Tatarstan got acquainted with the country's tourism infrastructure, attended a meeting at the Russian House in Vientiane and the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.
Two weeks ago, the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Thongloun Sisoulith, visited Kazan as part of the BRICS Heads of State Summit. The visit of the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan was a continuation of the initiated cooperation in the field of tourism. Today, tourists can easily travel between Tatarstan and Laos using the services of the Chinese airline China Eastern Airlines, which flies through Shanghai to various Asian countries. The visa-free regime between Laos and Russia, among other things, simplifies the movement of tourists between the two countries.
The development of international cooperation and the establishment of links between the tour operator community is aimed at achieving the goals of the national project "Tourism and the Hospitality Industry" to increase the export of travel services three times by 2030.
