28 September 2024, Saturday

Today, the opening of a flight from China's largest financial and cultural center, Shanghai, took place at Kazan International Airport named after G.Tukai.

The Chinese airline China Eastern Airlines has started regular passenger services on the Shanghai – Kazan – Shanghai route.

According to aviation tradition, the plane was greeted with a special celebration: a water arch through which an Airbus A330 with 264 passengers on board passed from the runway. The first flight was opened with a grand ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event was attended by Li Ye, Executive Vice President of China Eastern Airlines,       Xiang  Bo, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kazan, Farit Khanifov, Minister of Transport and Road Management of the Republic of Tatarstan, Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Sergey Romantsov, General Director of Kazan International Airport.

Together with the tourists, at the invitation of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chinese tour operators and journalists arrived in Kazan on the first flight.

The guests will stay in Tatarstan until October 1, during which time they will visit the sights of Kazan, visit the island-city of Sviyazhsk, get acquainted with the local culture, taste national cuisine and inspect the hotel infrastructure.

We remind you that China is one of the priority foreign markets for Tatarstan to attract tourists. This work is aimed at achieving the goals of the national project "Tourism and the Hospitality Industry" to increase the export of travel services three times by 2030.
