Malaysian tour operators have tested the halal tourist route "Nature's Embrace" in Tatarstan, created last year specifically for Arab travelers. The promotional and information tour was organized with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan. The guests have already got acquainted with Kazan, appreciated the national cuisine. Their trip will end with a study of the tourist potential of the neighboring region, the Republic of Mari El.
The delegation of Kyrgyzstan, which arrived in the capital of Tatarstan to participate in the XVII International Economic Forum "Russia - the Islamic World: Kazanforum", held a separate meeting with Kazan travel agents. The event, organized by Silk Way Travel with the support of the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, was dedicated to the presentation of the republic's tourism potential and new routes for the 2026 season.
The XVII International Economic Forum “Russia - the Islamic World: KazanForum” has started in the capital of Tatarstan. The large-scale event, which brought together a record number of participants from 103 countries, will last until May 17. The main objective of the forum is to strengthen trade, scientific and cultural ties between Russia and the states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Special attention in the business and exhibition program is given to tourism.
Four events aimed at developing tourism in the Republic of Tatarstan will receive subsidies following a competitive selection process in 2026. With the support of the national Tourism and Hospitality project, festivals will be held this summer in Veliky Bolgar and the Vysokogorsky district.
