Following the opening of flights between Kazan and the capital of the UAE, Tatarstan was visited by representatives of the tourism industry of six Persian Gulf countries on a working visit. A delegation of 9 leading operators assesses the infrastructure and tourism potential of the republic.
A delegation of 9 representatives of leading travel companies from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Saudi Arabia arrived in the Republic of Tatarstan. The visit was organized by the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism in cooperation with Etihad Airways.
This promotional and informational tour was a continuation of the opening of direct flights between Kazan and Abu Dhabi by Etihad Airways on December 4. The new flight, which connected the capital of Tatarstan with the capital of the UAE, has created a convenient transport bridge for tourists from friendly countries of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf.
Within a few days, tour operators will be able to personally evaluate Tatarstan's infrastructure and unique offers. A rich program has been prepared for them:
· Sightseeing tour of Kazan with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site — the Kazan Kremlin.
· Get acquainted with authentic Tatar cuisine in the Umai restaurant and in the Tugan Avylym National complex.
· Exploring the accommodation facilities: Luciano Hotel & SPA 5*, DoubleTree by Hilton Kazan City Center 4 and Millennium Panorama Hotels 5*, country club "Utrau".
· Visit the historical center of the island-city of Sviyazhsk with its ancient cathedrals and museums.
· Get to know different types of recreation: from the family alpaca park "Pacha Mama" and the modern extreme park "Drive" to fishing in the fish breeding complex "Biosphere FISH".
The event is aimed at attracting a new tourist flow to the region and developing the export of tourist services. The development of international cooperation, including through direct flights, contributes to the achievement of the goals of the national Tourism and Hospitality project to increase the export of tourist services by 2030.
