The tourism potential of the Republic of Tatarstan was presented at the largest international exhibition CITIE 2025 in Guangzhou. The participation of the Tatarstan delegation in the Russian booth "Discover Russia" allowed the region to establish itself as a key platform for the development of inbound tourism from Asian countries.
During the international tourism exhibition CITIE 2025 in Guangzhou, a team from Tatarstan showcased the region's extensive tourism offerings at the joint Russian stand "Discover Russia," which was organized by the CSR Center for International Tourism Development.
The exhibition, which brought together representatives from 46 countries, has become a key platform for the development of inbound tourism.
Tatarstan representatives presented the republic's tourism potential, relevant at any time of the year. There were noted the rich cultural and historical heritage, including UNESCO World Heritage Sites, as well as opportunities for outdoor activities. Particular emphasis is placed on fostering gastronomic tourism and providing photogenic settings for capturing unforgettable and vibrant images.
The representatives also emphasized the advantageous transportation location of the region. Thanks to its excellent air and road infrastructure, Tatarstan seamlessly fits into the traditional tourist itinerary in Russia, which includes Moscow and St. Petersburg, making it a natural addition to any travel itinerary.
The participation of the Tatarstan delegation in CITIE 2025 strengthens the region's position in the promising Chinese market, opens up new opportunities for international cooperation, and also leads to the achievement of the goals of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" to increase the export of travel services three times by 2030.
