More than 2,000 tourists visited the information tents of Visit Tatarstan during the past June holidays
More than 2,000 tourists received information support in the branded tents of Visit Tatarstan during the June holidays. Tourist volunteers help guests at two venues in Kazan — at the Kamala Theater and on Bauman Street, providing maps and information about the sights.
As part of the annual Hospitable Kazan project, two branded tents operate in popular tourist locations, where volunteers provide information support to the guests of the city.
The tents are located in key locations of the historic center:
- On the square in front of the Tatar State Theater named after G. Kamal;
- On the pedestrian street of Bauman, next to the clock.
Volunteers from the Assembly of Tourist Volunteers of the Republic of Tatarstan, who have received special training, are ready to talk about the sights of Tatarstan, provide free tourist maps of Kazan, Veliky Bolgar and the island-city of Sviyazhsk, as well as share information about upcoming events.
The project is being implemented by the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism in cooperation with the Assembly of Tourist Volunteers.
The tents are open daily from 10:00 to 20:00 until August 31.
Also, the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Tourism has organized the work of a Tourist information point on 49 Bauman Street in order to provide information support to tourists.
