Tatarstan and Venezuela continue to develop tourism cooperation

11 June 2025, Wednesday

At a meeting with the Venezuelan delegation headed by Vice Minister of Tourism Ramon Finol, the prospects of launching regular or charter flights between the capital of Tatarstan and Venezuela were discussed. The negotiations were a continuation of the April agreements on the development of tourism cooperation between the regions.

Within the framework of the international tourism forum "Travel!", a business meeting was held between representatives of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism and a delegation from Venezuela headed by Ramon Finol, Vice Minister for International Tourism. Earlier in April, representatives of Venezuela came to Kazan to explore the region and present the tourism potential of their country.

Special attention was paid to the organization of flights. Currently, direct flights between Moscow and Venezuela are already operating, and they are scheduled to launch from St. Petersburg in the near future. The Venezuelan side was particularly interested in the possibility of organizing direct or charter flights on the Caracas-Kazan route.

The Venezuelan partners expressed interest in attracting tourists from Tatarstan, especially during the winter season. To this end, they offered to hold a presentation for Tatarstan tour operators in order to better familiarize them with the tourist opportunities of their country.

"We see great potential in cooperation with Tatarstan and are ready to work actively together," Ramon Finol said after the meeting.

The development of international cooperation and the establishment of links between the tour operator community is aimed at achieving the goals of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" to increase the export of travel services three times by 2030.
