From July 2, 2025, Mahan Air will launch direct flights Kazan — Tehran — Kazan twice a week. The agreement was reached during negotiations between the delegation of Tatarstan and Mahan Air with the support of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan.
As a result of the meeting held today at the headquarters of the Iranian airline Mahan Air, an agreement was reached to launch direct flights on the Kazan - Tehran — Kazan route starting from July 2, 2025.
The delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan, headed by Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Sergey Romantsov, General Director of Kazan International Airport, held a meeting with Hussein Ibrahimi, Commercial Director of Mahan Air.
The launch of new flights became possible thanks to the support of Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan. Flights will be operated by Mahan Air twice a week — on Mondays and Wednesdays.
As part of further cooperation, it is planned to organize joint promotional events aimed at popularizing the tourism potential of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Iranian market and promoting Iran as an attractive destination for Tatarstan residents.
The expansion of the route network contributes to an increase in passenger traffic to the Republic of Tatarstan and the development of tourism within the framework of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality".
