Kazan and Isfahan have strengthened their cooperation by signing a cooperation agreement. Within the framework of this agreement, a presentation of the tourism potential of Isfahan province for tour operators of the Republic of Tatarstan took place.
In May, the Mayor of Kazan, Ilsur Metshin, and the head of Isfahan province, Ali Kasemzade, signed an agreement on establishing twinning relations. The agreement provides for cooperation in the fields of economy, tourism, culture and urban planning.
As part of this agreement, the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism hosted a presentation of the tourism potential of the Iranian province of Isfahan for tour operators by Masoud Nikain, Assistant to the Governor of Isfahan for Tourism and International Affairs.
Isfahan, a city with a rich history, offers tourists many unique attractions: From the majestic Ali Kapu Palace with its monumental terrace and the ancient Jami Mosque, which has become an example of Iranian architecture, to the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, which is important for the Armenian community. Christ the Savior and the famous 33 Arches Bridge connecting the city with the Armenian settlement.
In the near future, it is planned to organize an information tour to Isfahan province for representatives of the Tatarstan tour operator community so that they can personally assess the tourist potential of the city and develop new routes for tourists from Tatarstan.
The development of international cooperation and the establishment of links between the tour operator community is aimed at achieving the goals of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" to increase the export of travel services three times by 2030.
