The Republic of Tatarstan strengthens tourism ties with the Republic of Tajikistan on behalf of the Head of RT
A delegation from Tajikistan visited Kazan to strengthen tourism cooperation. During the meeting, the possibilities of spa and mountain tourism in Tajikistan were discussed, and an information tour for Tatarstan tour operators in Dushanbe is also planned.
Last week, the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, during a working visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, got acquainted with cultural heritage sites in the city of Khujand, located in the Sughd region. He also instructed to intensify cooperation with travel companies in order to explore existing routes and stimulate the growth of the number of tourists traveling both from Tatarstan to Tajikistan and in the opposite direction.
In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, a delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan headed by Rustam Kholmatien, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, met with tour operators of Tatarstan today at the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Chairman of the RT State Committee on Tourism Sergey Ivanov welcomed the guests and stressed the importance of developing bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism. During the meeting, representatives of Tajikistan gave a presentation on the tourism potential of their country, paying special attention to the development of resort, sanatorium and mountain tourism.
The Republic of Tatarstan and Tajikistan are connected by regular flights. From Kazan International Airport, you can fly to Khujand and Dushanbe 6 times a week on flights operated by Nordwind and Ural Airlines.
The development of international cooperation and the establishment of links between the tour operator community is aimed at achieving the goals of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" to increase the export of travel services three times by 2030.
