Tatarstan takes part in the Travel Expo Ankara tourism exhibition
These days, the delegation of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism is participating in the international tourism and travel exhibition Travel Expo Ankara, which is taking place in Ankara, Turkey.
Travel Expo Ankara 2024 is taking place in the Turkish capital from November 14 to 17 for the seventh time. This exhibition opens up opportunities for promoting the tourist destination, as well as cooperation with new foreign partners. Hundreds of travel agencies, hotels and regions of Turkey take part in it, stands of foreign countries are open, among which, in addition to Russia, there are countries of Africa, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
The tourism potential of the Republic of Tatarstan is presented at a joint stand under the national brand Discover Russia, organized by the Center for the Development of International Tourism under the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.
Employees of the RT State Committee for Tourism tell visitors about the sights and UNESCO heritage that the republic is famous for. Also, Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism Sergey Ivanov presented the tourist opportunities of the Republic of Tatarstan during the official opening of the exhibition.
This work is aimed at achieving the goals of the national project "Tourism and the Hospitality Industry" to increase the export of travel services three times by 2030.
It should be noted that after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Kazan in October this year as part of the BRICS Heads of State Summit, Turkish residents became particularly interested in visiting Tatarstan.
