Tour operators and journalists arrived in Tatarstan on the first flight of the China Eastern Airlines on an advertising and information tour. The info tour was organized by the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism in order to familiarize representatives of the tourist community and residents of Shanghai with the Republic of Tatarstan, its sights, culture and traditions.
Acquaintance with the republic began with a tour of the main attractions of its capital, Kazan. To understand the cultural code of the region, the guests were immersed in Tatar culture. They took part in master classes on embroidery of skullcaps and kalfaks, on cooking the national Tatar noodles - tokmach soup, tried on Khan costumes of the XV century and captured themselves in costumes in a national photo shoot. Guests visited the Kazan Family Center, where they threw coins for "family happiness", according to the good old tradition. And then they went for a motor ship ride along the Volga and Kazanka.
Today, the guests went to the island-city of Sviyazhsk, where they will be shown ancient frescoes of the XVI century in the Bogoroditsa-Uspensky monastery, in the Museum of the Archaeological tree they will be told how they lived on the island in the last century, and in the complex of historical reconstruction "Lazy Torzhok" tour operators and journalists will try themselves as artisans, medieval warriors and archers.
It should be recalled that promotion in priority foreign markets is an important area of activity of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism in order to achieve the goals of the national project "Tourism and the Hospitality Industry" to increase the export of tourist services.
Kazan is the third city in Russia to which China Eastern Airlines has launched regular flights. There are 10 tour operator companies in the republic that are involved in the work of receiving Chinese tourists on a visa-free exchange. Separately, the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism, together with Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, is working to train guides with Chinese language.
