The results of the evaluation of projects in the field of tourism for obtaining a preferential loan have been announced

Based on the results of the review of the registers of potential borrowers, the Subcommittee on the Provision of subsidies from the Federal budget in the field of tourism of the Government Commission for the Development of Tourism in the Russian Federation selected 189 projects from 55 regions of the country with a total cost of about 900 billion rubles to provide a preferential loan.

Among them are 167 projects for the creation of hotels and multifunctional complexes with a total number of 38.1 thousand rooms. 110 hotels and multifunctional complexes of the 3, 4 star category with a number of 27 thousand rooms and 57 projects of the 5 star category with a number of 11.1 thousand rooms will receive support.

The selection also included 10 projects for the construction of water parks, 9 projects for the creation of infrastructure for ski complexes and 3 projects for the construction of year-round amusement parks. Their total number of visitors is planned to reach 21.8 million people per year.

In particular, the list of potential borrowers for obtaining preferential loans in 2024 includes 3 major investment projects of the Republic of Tatarstan. Among them are two projects for the creation of 4, 5* hotels and one project for the creation of a thermal complex in Kazan.

The preferential lending program is aimed at the sustainable development of domestic and incoming tourism, implemented according to the decision of the President of the Russian Federation V. V.|Putin within the framework of the national project "Tourism and the Hospitality Industry" and in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 02/09/2021 No. 141.

Applications were accepted from December 1, 2023 and ended on February 20, 2024 inclusive. A detailed list of selected applications can be found on the official website of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
