On August 31 is 75 years from the date of Marina Tsvetaeva's leaving. Yelabuga became the last terrestrial point in her destiny: here in August, 1941 life of the great poet tragically sink. However still for many years her name was under a ban.
For the first time in Yelabuga it sounded in the mid-sixties, and the first Memorial Day of Marina Tsvetaeva was spent in September, 1968. Then teachers and students of the Yelabuga state teacher's institute came to an expected grave of the poet to lay flowers, to read favorite verses, to listen to the story of the Kazan writer R. Mustafin about poetic destiny of Tsvetaeva.

The partner of the International airport "Kazan" – Aeroflot airline will continue to perform direct regular flights along a way Kazan – Frankfurt am Main – Kazan in the winter timetable.
Flights will be performed twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. The departure from Kazan will be performed at 10:00, and an arrival to Frankfurt at 13:20. In the backward the plane will go at 14:55 with arrival in the International airport "Kazan" at 19:55 (for each airport local time is specified). Airbus A320 crafts will serve a way.
In the honor of the 10th anniversary the fan club of historical technique “AutoRetroClub21” will conduct the motor rally “Kazan-Elabuga’Naberezhnye Chelny” in September. The event dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the production of the Soviet automobile GAZ-21 “Volga”. According to the old tradition in the frame of the race the exhibition of hystorical auto and mototechnique was also organized.
It is planned that the retro-auto column will arrive in Elabuga on the 16th of September. The column includes about 20 pieces of equipment and 50 participants of the rally. Rally participants will be solemnly greeted at the SEZ "Alabuga". Exhibition of retro cars as well as the excursion through the plant «FordSollers» will be organized for participants of the rally.
September 1, the Knowledge Day, the Museum of Natural History of Tatarstan turns 8 years old. Guided tours, meetings with interesting people, interactive programs, environmental festivals and competitions - many important events were held in the museum. More than 500 000 people had chance to enjoy the exhibition: visitors saw how minerals glow in the dark, learned what kind of them exist in our republic, touched real meteorites, photographed with the mammoth and saber-toothed tiger, looked at the skeletons of dinosaurs, cave bear and other creatures that lived long before a man appeared. The museum is presented as a kind of a time machine, allowing to make a trip to millions years back and discover a very different Earth with its mysterious inhabitants.

Mysterious excursion through the Center “Ermitazh-Kazan”
September 1st the museum staff will present new interactive museum and educational classes for the first grade pupils. One of these classes will be “All started with a wheel” which tells about the history of different types of wheeled vehicles; “Duck in the hand and on the leash” tells about the history of irons, and “Violin Clef or How Music arose” which shows the variety of traditional music instruments on the territory of Middle Volga.
Besides, children will see the abundance of fauna at the lecture called “Marvels of the nature”. And the lecture “History of things” tells unusual stories about common things and tells the history of writing and lighting instruments and great variety of household items. All they belong to the holdings of the National museum of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Entrance for first grade pupils is free during the whole day.
On the City Day in Kazan against the Kremlin walls there will be held the show “Kazan City Racing”. More than 30 drifters, stunt drivers and motorcycle stunts will give performances to citizens and guests of Kazan. One of the most awaited participants are going to be British record-breakers – stunt driver Terry Grant and motorcycle stunt Lee Bowers. Local pilots Timur Timerzyanov and Taras Shatov will also give performance in the drift show to citizens of Kazan, as well as pilots of the Russian series of closed-circuit races Irek Minnakhmetov, Marat Sharapov and Maxim Simonov will demonstrate their spectacular program.
The famous Russian pilot Maxim Tvardovsky will represent the international drifters’ crew “FailCrew”. Lithuanian pilot Povilas Yankavichus is going to give performance with new class of compact racing cars “Mitjet 2L”. Performances of the motorcycle stunt riders crew “Legend Stunt Team” headed by Marat Kankadze, road-circuit motorcycle racing team “RWT-motorsport” with Sergei Krapukhin, Grigoriy Markov from the team “B.K.E. Stunt Show” are also awaited.
The route “Kazan City Racing” will pass through historical central part of the city, along the Millennium Square. Total distance of the route makes 800 meters. From 23rd till 25th of August the Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism Sergei Ivanov had a working visit to the Czech Republic. Working meetings with Czech tour operators and negotiations about including of the Republic of Tatarstan in tourist routes made for locals were held within the trip. There was also a visit to the city of Brno of the South-Moravian region where the meeting with hetman of the region Mikhail Hasek and representatives of the Centre for tourism development, Brno international airport and local tour operators was held. Issues of mutual promotion of tourist resources of two regions including organization of advertising and informational tours for tour operators and journalists, participation in regional specialized exhibitions and leading advertising campaigns in mass media were discussed.

On 26th of August in the National Gallery of Art “Khazine” there will be opened the exhibition “Artists of Tatarstan: icon of Syuyumbicke – the last tsaritsa of Kazan Khanate on the eve of 500th anniversary of her birthday”.
Exhibition from collection of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan and paintings of Tatarstan artists is dedicated to the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan.
As noted at the museum, the exhibition represents the legendary icon of Syuyumbicke in unified display area. The icon of Syuyumbicke is a kind of theme which closely related to ideology both under the Tsarist Russia and Soviet times.
Addressing to the icon of Syuyumbicke nowadays is passing through the prism of conditional postmodern language of the so-called “Muslim avant-garde”, abstractionism, conceptualism, primitive methods and aesthetics of shamail art.
Exhibition will be open till 26th of September.
