Mobile exhibition “Germans in Russian history” which is held within the project “National cultures at the National Museum”, will be opened at the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan on July 1st at 15.00. The exhibition is dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the invitation of foreign colonists by Empress Catherine II covering more than three centuries of people history that made a significant contribution to the growth of the Russian society, its development and European integration.
The exhibition was prepared by the International Union of German culture with financial support from the Ministry of Regional Development of the Russian Federation and Ministry of Internal Affairs of Germany in 2013.
Throughout its existence the mobile exhibition has already been presented in the number of Russian cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Syktyvkar, Perm, Pyatigorsk, Ulyanovsk, Marx in the Saratov region, Kolomna, Omsk, Slavgorod in the Altai Territory, and others.
Visitors can see some rare exhibits - copies of documents, maps, engravings and photos which are being stored in the archives of Russia and Germany.
