The Mayor said what he liked about the Tatarstan bear. "I like the fact that it can be easy to recognize. This is our Kazan Bear, there are visible elements of Tatar culture"- Ilsur Metshin congratulated all with the fact that Tatarstan got its own Buddy Bear.

Igor Krutoy joined the congratulations and said that Kazan has changed dramatically in recent years, especially after the Universiade. "It's just crazy growth of the city, of Tatarstan" - said I.Krutoy.

To the accompaniment of Kazan ethno-lounge project "Tatarsis" the bear was established in a front rank of other friendly bears, right in the center of the row. The bear came out very colorful - it is "dressed" in the national costume with a tatar skullcap and painted with bright colors. According to the creator of the image of a bear, 17-year-old Kazan artist Mia Musina, it was supposed that in the paws of the bear will be chak-chak, but due to lack of time this plan wasn’t embodied.

The project, known around the world, managed to visit five continents; it was held in cities such as Berlin, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Paris, New Delhi, Sydney, and Warsaw. If the sculpture bears of 2 m growth were in St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg before, the mini-bear rising 1.2 m are for the first time in Russia. In its world tour «United Buddy Bears» preach peace, love, tolerance and understanding among peoples.
