Friendly bears to lodge outside "Kazan" family center

An international art exhibition «The Minis United Buddy Bears» will open near Kazan's family "Kazan" on July 1. Tatarstan will also be represented by a sculpture of a bear. The exhibition «United Buddy Bears» (The Commonwealth of Buddy Bears) is a world-renowned project which has visited five continents. Kazan will become Russia's third city after St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg to host the exhibition.
In its world tour, «United Buddy Bears» promote peace, love, tolerance and understanding among nations. Each 1.2 m-tall painted sculpture represents the artist's home country: its nature, history, people, landscape, farming and music. Thus, together the exhibits are a kind of map of the world. The raised bears' paws symbolize friendship and optimism. "Paw to paw" reminds visitors that the people of various countries should get to know each other and live in peace.
According to the results of the authoritative All-Russian WHERETOTRAVEL HOTELS AWARD, the Kazan Palace by Tasigo Hotel entered the top five best hotels in Russia, also winning the title of the best hotel in the Urals and the Volga region.
Following the opening of flights between Kazan and the capital of the UAE, Tatarstan was visited by representatives of the tourism industry of six Persian Gulf countries on a working visit. A delegation of 9 leading operators assesses the infrastructure and tourism potential of the republic.
Anastasia Grafinya, a representative of Tatarstan, won the prestigious Miss Environment International 2025 international competition, presenting the author's eco-project "Wild Farm" in the Rybno-Slobodsky district of the republic to the jury and participants from more than 30 countries. She was awarded the main award "For the greatest contribution to ecology and the environment."
The festivals "NUR" and "Living Legends" from Kazan, the festival of historical reconstruction "Elbeden" from the Pestrechinsky district won prizes at the XIV international award in the field of event tourism Russian Event Awards.
