Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers approved to finance Development of Tourism and Hospitality in Tatarstan for 2014-2020 state program in the amount of 1,831,200 rubles on 21 July. The republic budget will cover 1,066,600 rubles of the total funding, Tatarstan State Committee on Tourism Chairman Sergey Ivanov communicated at press conference held in Republic Agency for Press and Mass Communications on 29 July.
The program aims to increase Tatarstan tourism’s competitiveness at Russian and international levels. It includes five main goals.
Firstly, attractiveness image for tourists is supposed to be created through participating in different touristic exhibitions and organizing tours four journalists around the republic.
Secondly, tourism infrastructure will be developed. For example, it is planned to advance avtoclusters, allowing to visit places of interest without staying in a city. This requires having at disposal mini hotels, repairing services, filling stations etc.
Thirdly, the program implies to form competitive tourism sphere and to promote it at prospective markets through the media, tours for journalists, using web resources, as well as grant policy.
The fourth step is to increase quality of tourism’s products and service level. It covers reeducating staff, voluntary movement support and monitoring services’ quality.
The last point is to improve state policy on tourism.
The volume of tourism’s toll services should reach 8,851 million rubles in 2014, 11,672.6 million in 2017 and 15,393.7 million in 2020.
