River trips from Kazan: tourist routes and inter-regional voyages
This summer season, guests and residents of Tatarstan can enjoy voyages to the main tourist centers of the republic: Sviyazhsk island, Veliky Bolgar and Tetyushi, as well as inter-regional trips to Cheboksary, Nizhny Novgorod, Tchaikovsky and Perm.
Daily flights depart from Kazan to the island-city of Sviyazhsk, passengers can choose to travel by high-speed vessel or motor ship. Every day, except Monday and Tuesday, trips to Veliky Bolgar on Meteors are available, and daily high-speed Meteors depart for Tetushi with a stop in Veliky Bolgar.
From Kazan, you can travel to other regions of Russia. Vessels run to Nizhny Novgorod three times a week, and to Cheboksary every day. On July 29, August 5, 12, and August 21, special trips to Tchaikovsky with a stop in Nizhnekamsk are planned, and from Tchaikovsky itself the next day you can go to Perm, spending the night in the city.
