The RT State Committee on Tourism held a meeting with the Embassy of the Dominican Republic to strengthen tourism ties. The guests appreciated the republic's tourism opportunities and shared their experience in organizing study tours for tour operators to the Dominican Republic.
As part of the visit of the delegation of the Embassy of the Dominican Republic to the Russian Federation, a meeting was held in the Republic of Tatarstan at the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties in the field of tourism.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Dominican Republic to the Russian Federation E.P. Alejandro Arias Zarzuela and Counselor of the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in the Russian Federation Jose Manuel Vargas D'oleo took part in the negotiations.
The main purpose of the meeting was to get acquainted with the tourism potential of both Tatarstan and the Dominican Republic, as well as to discuss the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation.
During the meeting, the issues of organizing study tours for Tatarstan tour operators to the Dominican Republic were discussed, which will allow them to personally assess the possibilities of recreation and develop new travel products. In addition, colleagues are working on the issue of launching direct flights to the Dominican Republic, initially from Moscow, but in the future the possibility of opening flights from Kazan is not excluded.
Representatives of the Dominican Republic highly appreciated Tatarstan's tourism potential, noting its rich culture and historical heritage.
The development of international cooperation and the establishment of links between the tour operator community is aimed at achieving the goals of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" to increase the export of travel services three times by 2030.
