Tatarstan presented the experience of creating conditions for tourists from Islamic countries at KazanForum 2025

A session dedicated to the development of inbound tourism in Russia was held within the framework of the Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum 2025 forum. It discussed how to make our country more attractive for foreign tourists, including from Muslim countries. Tatarstan shared its experience, and representatives of other regions and experts presented their ideas and best practices. The event was held as part of the "Discover Your Russia" program.

A session dedicated to the development of inbound tourism in Russia was held within the framework of the largest economic forum "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum" 2025. The event was held as part of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives 'Discover Your Russia' program, aimed at increasing the investment and export potential of the regions by attracting foreign tourists.

The key topic of the session was the coverage of initiatives and trends shaping the tourist image of modern Russia for foreign travelers. Sergey Evgenievich Ivanov, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, delivered a report on "Creating conditions for tourists from Islamic countries in the Republic of Tatarstan". He shared the region's experience in adapting tourism infrastructure and services to the needs of Muslim travelers.

Russian representatives from the Astrakhan Region, the Komi Republic, the Republic of Bashkortostan, the National Competence Center for Halal Products and Services of Roskachestvo, the travel company of Tajikistan and FUN&SUN, the Radisson Hotel Ulyanovsk, the Russian House in the UAE, and the National Foundation for Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Tourism Development also participated in the event. They shared their experience and vision of the prospects for the development of inbound tourism in Russia, especially in the context of attracting visitors from the Islamic world.

The Open Your Russia program is designed to support Russian entrepreneurs and create favorable conditions for increasing the tourist flow to the regions of the Russian Federation, emphasizing the investment attractiveness of the regions and their export potential.

The work within the framework of this session of the economic forum "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum" 2025 corresponds to one of the goals of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" to increase the export of travel services three times by 2030.
