The delegation of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism presented its tourism potential to China's leading tour operators at the headquarters of China Eastern Airlines in Shanghai. The purpose of the visit is to expand cooperation and attract Chinese tourists to the region.
As part of the presentation, an eventful three-day tour was presented, in which guests are invited to immerse themselves in Tatar culture through master classes and traditional dinners with national dishes. Participants will be able to enjoy guided tours of the city, discovering its beauty and history, as well as go on a cruise along the Volga to the island-city of Sviyazhsk or to the Great Bulgarian. Activities such as archery, recreation in ski resorts, organized hunting and fishing are available to guests. For those wishing to continue their acquaintance with Russia, there are additional routes to Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Chinese tour operators appreciated the opportunity to get acquainted with the architecture of the region, try on national costumes, and participate in traditional amusements for our country. According to the representatives of the delegation, it is in this direction that they plan to develop travel packages for Chinese tourists.
The delegation of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan also visited the Russian Consulate General, where Chairman Sergei Ivanov shared with Consul General of the Russian Federation in Shanghai Dmitry Lukyantsev plans for the development of tourism from China. He highlighted the key aspects for attracting Chinese tourists to Russia, as well as outlined existing problems and ways to solve them.
Kazan has become the third Russian city to which China Eastern Airlines operates direct flights from Shanghai (after Moscow and St. Petersburg). Flights are operated three times a week.
The development of international cooperation and the establishment of links between the tour operator community is aimed at achieving the goals of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" to increase the export of travel services three times by 2030.
