Shanghai tour operators were told about Tatarstan's tourism potential
A presentation of the tourism potential of the Republic of Tatarstan for tour operators of the city and neighboring provinces took place at the headquarters of China Eastern Airlines in Shanghai. The event was attended by about 40 companies interested in a new direction.
The presentation was opened by Mr. Lu Jun, Managing Director of the Commerce Department of China Eastern Airlines. Direct flights from Shanghai to Kazan will open on September 28. Flights will be operated three times a week. Kazan, along with Moscow and St. Petersburg, became the third city in Russia that the airline linked with China. China Eastern Airlines will operate flights to these three cities throughout the winter period.
Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan Sergey Ivanov told the meeting participants about the possibilities of recreation in Tatarstan in summer and winter. Special attention was paid to the combined tours "Three capitals of Russia: Kazan, Moscow, St. Petersburg".
The Tatarstan tour operator, the agency of historical travel and event tours "Journey to the Past", also spoke at the presentation. The commercial director of the company, Mark Rofman, presented the ethno-gastronomic tour "One road – five cultures", the author's excursion program "Journey into the past" and the program in the format of living history "Medieval Day".
Let us recall that China is one of the priority foreign markets for Tatarstan to attract tourists. This work is aimed at achieving the goals of the national project "Tourism and the Hospitality Industry" to increase the export of travel services three times by 2030.
