A zoom presentation of the tourism potential of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) to representatives of the tourism industry of the Republic of Tatarstan was held today at the State Committee. Aigul Balakhontseva, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Ramil Miftakhov, President of the Association of Travel Agencies of the Republic of Tatarstan and Natalya Nikitina, Head of the Department for the Development of Interregional Relations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan were present at the meeting.
The Republic of Sakha was represented by Tamara Solovieva, Head of the Tourism Industry Department of the Ministry of Entrepreneurship, Trade and Tourism of the Republic of Sakha, Natalia Tyukavkina, General Director of the Agency for Development of Tourism of Territorial Marketing, Ramil Zakirov, Representative of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in the Republic of Tatarstan and others.
Today, in the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, a round table was held on the topic “Development of ecological, rural and industrial tourism in the Republic of Tatarstan”.
In 2020, the tourist flow in Tatarstan amounted to 1.9 million people, which is 47% lower than a year earlier. It is planned to restore the tourist flow to pre-crisis levels in the region thanks to large blocks of events. Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke about them at a round table in the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. “The tourism sector in 2020 showed the largest decline. In 2020, the flow of tourists in Tatarstan amounted to 1.9 million people, which is 47% lower than a year earlier. The volume of the tourism sector last year amounted to about 19 billion rubles, which is 40% lower than a year earlier. We saw new niches and opportunities. We continued to work on priority areas for the development of the tourism sector, which are reflected in the strategy of socio-economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan until 2030 and the strategy for the development of tourism until 2021 and for the planning period until 2030,” he said.
On March 16-20, ANO “Assembly of Tourist Volunteers of the Republic of Tatarstan” together with the State Committee for Tourism will conduct a specialized educational session for students studying at the universities of Tatarstan at the faculties of tourism, service and hotel business.
The best experts in the field of tourism and hospitality of the Republic of Tatarstan will deliver their lectures and conduct creative classes. The shift will help to grow professionally in the tourism industry and provide additional materials for research work.
