On 13-14th of August the urban area will become an art venue for demonstration of modern arts. New artistic project will give to citizens and guests of Kazan a unique possibility of getting acquainted with original concept ideas of the festival participants – artists, directors, stage directors, musicians and many other creators. Various improvised venues with performances and happenings will be presented to quests. Dynamic art fans will be attracted by theatrical areas representing modern stage directors works, as well as mini-operas. Competitive cinema projects, concerts and art events for children will also be included into the festival program. Pleasing surprises and contests with creator-owned awards are prepared for the festival guests.

Today in Elabuga a three days Russian national Spasskaya fair will open, it will take place in Shishkin’s ponds, “Youth” stadium and historic streets of the town. Masters and creative teams from different Russian cities, and also foreign countries have arrived here on the eve, and tents and the ground have been decorated a few days before the holiday.  

More than 850 masters of arts and crafts from 170 cities and human settlements of Tatarstan, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan participate in this fair. The number of participants has decreased compared with last year – in 2015 there were 1112 masters. As organizators explain, the terms of participation were tightened this year, only these masters can participate who makes goods by hand and ready to teach a master class for visitors.  

 Fair tables are studded with bast shoes of Vyatka, Khokhloma of Nizhny Novgorod and Orenburg shawls, Kirov painted Matryoshkas, items from wood, metal, bone and so on. Children’s playgrounds and sports grounds work from the moring.

The program of festival is very intense: concert of bells, the participants of songwriters festival “Inspiration” performance, national courtyards, children’s playgrounds and sports grounds, creative teams of Tatarstan and Russia display.

Aviation holiday «I choose the sky!» will take place on August, 12 from 10 a.m. to 17p.m.

In  the program planes and helicopters, trikes and unmanned aircrafts air show, squadron of the Republic of Tatarstan Ministry of the Interior display, aeromodellers, bikers, on-stage performance groups performance, paratroopers competitions, a master class in parachute packing, flight in a hot air balloon.  

People will see an airplanes exhibition, where both legends of native aviation industry and modern plane and helicopter models will be presented. Children's playground is for young spectators.

On August,4 In Kazan an official ceremony marking  the meeting of the first direct tourist charter Urumqi  (PRC) – Kazan – Urumqi with 171 Chinese passengers. Vasil Shaikhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the State Committee for tourism of the republic of Tatarstan participated  at the ceremony.

Tourism programme on direct flights of Chinese tourists to the Tatarstan is the result of collaboration and events, carried out in 2015-2016 by the State Committee for tourism of the republic of Tatarstan, Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region  Tourism Authority of People’s Republic of China and PRC tour operators.

The operator of flight is the travel company «Xinjang China International Travel Service». The flight will commence twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays up to October, 24 of this year. If the process in this operational period will have positive economic results, the flight is expected to reopen in 2017.

While visiting Russia for a week, Chinese tourist will stay 2 days in Tatarstan, and also visit St. Petersburg and Moscow. In Tatarstan the visitors will see the main landmarks: the Kazan Kremlin, go on a walking tour in Bauman Street, have an excursion around the city, visit  the house-museum of Uljanov-Lenin V.I. and make an excursion to city-island Sviyazhsk..

On August,5 at 6 pm in the Elabuga state museum preserve gallery the ceremonial opening of “Kargopol toy” exhibition from Kargopol historic-architectural and art museum fund collection will take place.

Exposition will introduce with carefully preserved ancient craft in the Arkhangelsk Region - making of clay toy, traditional for this north region. The visitors will learn about history of craft appearance, its revival in the late nineteen-thirties and popularization in our days.

Kargopol toy specific nature is in its native connection with ancient traditions, plasticity and painterliness, usage of archaic symbols in ornament. This craft celebrateslandlords’ everyday life and holidays: men and women plough land, make bast shoes, do the domesticities, elegant ladies and gentlemen dance cotillion, young married women in head-bands treat everyone with pies, troika races jauntily. Pets and wild animals get a prominent place in the toy thematic. Sometimes, they dressed in farm clothes appear in human shape: play the harmonica, dance, go by sledge.

Female character of Bereginya is connected with ancient views – the patroness of nature and the protectress of family. She is depicted with hands upraised to heaven, holding birds. There are different clay tin whistles: ducks, Sirin birds, oxes or old men with ox body. All these things make Kargopol toys kin with fairy, epic and songlike folklore. In the middle of last century smoothly appeared one more character Polkan – demihuman-demihorse.  

On August, 2 a photocross around the Kazan Kremlin will take place in the capital of Tatarstan. This action is led to support the main symbol of the republic to get to new bank notes of Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

Everyone interested can take part in the photocross аnd to make this arch of ideal angle more fascinating, the providers decided to add the spirit of competition, having prepared some tasks and valuable prizes for winners.

Bridegroom and his friends get the old map of ancient fortress and go searching for the bride! The only requirement is to follow the encrypted messages using attention, smarts and logic! The bridegroom has to show his courage and accuracy in bow shooting and strength and hard working in a smith shop with the help of a hammer. The bridegroom will find the secret letter with main riddle only in one tower of the Kazan Kremlin. Having solved the riddle he will get to know where the bride is hidden.

The chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Toursim Sergei Ivanov took part in opening of the Interregional Forum for Cooperation of Saint Petersburg and the Republic of Tatarstan. The Forum is organized within the days of of Saint Petersburg in Tatarstan. The chairman of the committee did a presentation telling about tourism opportunities in Tatarstan, about new projects such as clusters “Nariman” and “Kama orifice”, about tourism development in the republic and many other things. Sergei Ivanov also pointed out the fact that in Tatarstan they keep an eye on tourism development in Saint Petersburg, and tourists from the Northern capital in particular are one of the most often quests in the republic.

Within the days of Saint Petersburg in the Republic of Tatarstan in the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism the meeting was held between the chairman of committee Sergei Ivanov and his deputy Yekaterina Barabanova with the chairman of the Development Committee for Tourism of Saint Petersburg Andrei Mushkaryov, chief of administration of the vice governor of Saint Petersburg Alexander Kokorin, general director of the state public institution ‘City tourism and information office’ of Saint Petersburg Yevgeny Pankevich and others. General director of the autonomous non-commercial organization ‘Directorate of sports and social projects’ Azat Kadyrov, management chief of arrangement of championship “WorldSkills” in 2019 in Kazan Emil Gubaidulin, general director of  the limited liability company  ‘Tourism and information center of Kazan city’ Natalya Abramovich and others took part in this meeting as well.

On the agenda of the meeting there were several points: discussion of cooperation in the area of tourism between the city of Saint Petersburg and the Republic of Tatarstan, instruments and methods of influence on the tourism industry with regard to compilation of data, quality control and auditing named ‘Hidden guest/call’, sharing experience with the representatives of the Tourism and information center of Kazan etc. During the event particular attention was paid to the sharing of experience with regard to preparation of Kazan for performing of the international championship WorldSkills in 2019 – the big presentation telling about the movement of WorldSkills, organization peculiarities and about Kazan’s application for this championship was introduced to the guests. Following the results of the meeting it was decided to work in cooperation for a larger sharing of experience in future.

On the 15th of July 2016 there was an attempt of a military takeover in Turkey resulted in more than 190 people dead. According to the message of Rosaviatsiya (Russian Air Transport Federal Agency) the transportation of passengers to the Republic of Turkey has been temporary postponed. Limitation for carrying out of incoming flights will be valid until the political situation is clarified. However, Russian citizens being on the territory of Turkey including tourists will be able to leave the country before the scheduled departure at will. Return flights will be carried out by the airlines of both countries.
