For the purpose of compiling list of tourist organizations for 2017-2018, entitled to carry out activities for implementation of the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Government of the People's Republic of China of 29 February 2000, on visa-free group travels, we would ask you by December 1st this year, to inform the Republic of Tatarstan State Tourism Committee about your readiness to work on implementation of the Agreement.

According to travel business demand analysis in Russian and foreign cities, favorable for traveling with children during winter school holidays, the top 10 home - cities included St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Sochi, Vologda, Irkutsk, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Pskov and Vladimir.

Documents acceptance for participation in the competition for incorporation in the Republic of Tatarstan State Tourism Committee personnel reserve to Accounting & Government Order Department job family main team, in the category “leaders” and to Government Programs Implementation & Development Department job family lead team, in the category “experts”, is still continuing.

Documents acceptance for participation in the competition will be carried out from the 27th of October till 16th of November 2016, during work hours of the Republic of Tatarstan State Tourism Committee.

National Geographic Magazine summed up the results of readers voting for tour destinations of Russia in 2016. According to “Rambler.Trips” service, the Russian readers also chose the best national adventure, sightseeing, ethnographic and eco-tourism.

Russian readers named Tatarstan the best place for sightseeing vocation. Republic of Tatarstan shared the top place with

St. Petersburg and Leningrad region. For these regions voted 23 per cent of readers. Kaliningrad region (18 percent) ranked second best and the third was Khakassia (11 percent).

Majestic festival of jazz music will take place in the capital of Tatarstan in October. The best world jazz musicians will show virtuoso technique and high level of jam skills. The International Festival in National Philharmonia will gather leading jazzmen of the country. “The King of Russian rock-and-roll” Denis Mazhukov, whose playing admired the great Jerry Lee Lewis, is among them. Currently the repertoire of the musician includes rockabilly, jazz and rock-and-roll versions of legends: Elvis, Chuck Berry, Ray Charles and others. Another guest of the Festival is world famous mom-and-pop jazz band “Bril-Jazz”. 

Two Tatarstan projects won the Grand Prize of “Russian Event Awards” national award of 2016 in the field of eventive tourism, the finals of which was held on the 15th of October. In the category “The best youth tourist event” – I All-Russia Forum of Tourist Volunteers “I.Pro” and in the category “The best site for carrying out of the tourist event” (“Facilities for accommodation”) – “Kazan Riviera” Hotel Entertainment Complex.

Also in the category “The best tourist event in the field of gastronomic tourism” the premier place was taken by The Second Gastronomic Festival “Vkusnaya Kazan”, in the category “The best site for carrying out of the tourist event” (“Museum –exhibition sites”) the second place was taken by open-air museum “Island Sviyazhsk”, and in the category “The best concept of tourist event” the National epic, traditions and heroes festival “Fairy-tales nurse” won the premier and second place, in the category “The best children tourist event”- “New Year’s interactive programme in the Historic Reenactment Complex “Lenivy Torzhok” – “Tale about Nikita Strelts and Sviyazhsky spice cake”

All Russia Festival of Mediaeval Battle “Veliky Bolgar” was awarded special Grand Prize from general b2b-partner profi.travel in particular category “For the most successful cooperation with travel industry”.  

Chairman of the Republic of Tatarstan State Tourism Committee Sergey Ivanov came to St. Petersburg on working trip. The Republic of Tatarstan tour operators, specialized in domestic travel, were on the delegation. The purpose of the visit- sharing experiences on the mainstream of tourist industry, hotel business development and cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and St. Petersburg tour operators in the field of domestic travel.

In the course of the working trip Sergey Ivanov and the Republic of Tatarstan Permanent Representative in St. Petersburg Renat Valiullin met with “Courtyard Marriott Pushkin” hotel General Manager Mr. Alexander Nurok, “Hilton” and “Hampton by Hilton” hotel clusters General Manager Mr. Francois Morvan, “Park Inn Pribaltiyskaya” General Manager Mr. Machek Myazek and Revenue Manger Mrs. Ekaterina Kashina.

Tomorrow, 14 October, in the RT House of People’s Friendship will take place exhibition “Grasshopper’s Jump”.

As it was announced by RT House of People’s Friendship, the exhibition of Tatarstan artists has been organized at SIC Commonwealth of Artists’ Kazan branch suggestion and is dedicated to insects.

Having observed the habits of insects Leonardo da Vinci drew sketches which became basis for the number of technical findings. Exhibition guests are asked whether sketches and paintings of modern artists can benefit to science and technology.

In the Republic of Tatarstan State Tourism Committee was held presentation of touristic opportunities to German tourism industry representatives. Vice-Chairwoman, Yekaterina Barabanova introduced Tatarstan. The number of most popular and frequently visited places were mentioned at the meeting: island Sviyazhsk, Kazan, Elabuga, Chistopol and Bolgar. Special attention was paid to entertainment industry and SPA-recreation opportunities.   

Kazan is acknowledged the best city for domestic tourism. The capital of Tatarstan is in the lead as regards to favorable responses due to the large number of positive evaluations of cafes and restaurants level and cost. The rating was made by “Smimonito” company on the basis of publications in the mass media and search query and responses statistics.

Also, the company experts listed the most popular domestic tourism events: the festival “Great Bulgaria” in Tatarstan, “Sailing Week” in Sevastopol and “Tremolo” (formerly known as “Classics on the Volga river”).
