On the 11th of October the Republic of Tatarstan State Tourism Committee took part in the exhibition exposition as a part of Tatar- Turkmenian Forum coincided with Republic of Tatarstan Days in Turkmenistan. Participation in the exhibition was the part of official visit of the delegation headed by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov. Also the participants of the exhibition were: PJSC “Tatneft”, PJSC “KAMAZ”, “Tatarstan Investment Development Agency” and “Innopolis”, etc. The day before, in the big hall of the Palace of Mukamov (music) of Turkmenistan National Culture Center was conducted concert of the Republic of Tatarstan and Turkmenistan masters of the arts.
Kazan joined the three most popular Russian cities for traveling with children during autumn holidays as reported by hotels search online service provider RoomGuru.ru.
The rating was compiled according to hotels and apartments internet search data for accommodation with children from October 29 to November 6 this year.
Moscow and St. Petersburg are ahead of the capital of Tatarstan. In the Top Ten Russian Cities, popular for traveling with children during autumn holidays, are also included Sochi, Yekaterinburg, Yalta, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Pskov and Veliky Novgorod.
According to the portal information, during the autumn holidays, visitors will come to Kazan for 3 days at the mean and will pay for accommodation about 2.9 thousand rubles per day.
This is a reminder, that according to TurStat Agency information, in 2016 the number of journeys with children across Russia increased by 20% compared to the last year.
Today, in “Krutushka" health resort was held an extended meeting of the Republic of Tatarstan State Tourism Committee Social Council. Liana Saetova, Deputy Chairwoman, attended the meeting. The development of sanatorium-resort section of the Republic was the main topic of the discussions and interaction of travel agencies and resorts in particular.
The online voting for Bank of Russia new banknote characters is completed. In the last days of hot contest Kazan and Sevastopol got the upper hand in the league table at the site “tvoyarossiya.rf”.
The capital of Tatarstan with Kazan Kremlin and Kazan Federal University characters is second with 421 748 votes. Sevastopol topped the popular support ranking with the result of 428 718 votes.
Today at 19 p.m. on “Russia 1” TV live channel the Russians will have the last opportunity to change the final result of the votes by sending SMS messages, afterwards will be announced cities and characters which Central Bank will use on banknotes of 200 and 2000 rubles nominal values.

The Republic of Tatarstan State Tourism Committee Vice-Chairwoman, Yekaterina Barabanova, has attended the concert marking the Day of Elderly People where she gave the speech of welcome. In the speech addressed to the guests of the event, she noted the gravity of such occasions: “The Day of Elderly People is very important holiday, thanks to it we have the opportunity to show our gratitude to grandparents one more time and tell them “Thank you" for all that they have done for us and continue to do. And most important, that all of them be healthy”.
Regional creative teams, children's dance troupe and vocal group took part in this concert.
On the International Tourism Day, September 27, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation held a ceremony of departmental awards for the contribution to the industry. The Chairman of State Committee on Tourism of Republic of Tatarstan Sergey Ivanov was awarded with the gratitude for the development of domestic and inbound tourism.
The Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Tourism Ekaterina Barabanova has met a delegation from the Irkutsk region, which are in Tatarstan from 26 to 30 September. The meeting was held to study the experience of the Republic of Tatarstan in the extension of the territory in the field of tourism
Various issues related to tourism in the republic were discussed at the meeting. The presentation was held for the guests, there was a detailed account of the major tourist centers such as Sviyazhsk, Bolgar, Elabuga, Tetyushi, Chistopol and, of course, Kazan. After the presentation, the guests had the opportunity to ask questions to representatives of the committee.
The representatives of the Irkutsk region, during their stay in Tatarstan, will get themselves familiar with to Bolgar, Sviyazhsk and Kazan landmarks.
On October 6-7, 2016 in the Republic of Kazakhstan Shymkent city will host the International Tourism Forum “ONTUSTIKTOURISM-2016” and the International Fair “SILKWAYTOURISMFAIR”.
“ONTUSTIKTOURISM - 2016” (hereinafter - the Forum) will become a dialogue platform for meetings and negotiations between representatives of government, business, academic community, mass media and NGOs on the development of the tourism industry on the Silk Road under the auspices of international organizations such as the UNESCO (International organization of the United Nations concerning the education, culture and science) WorldTourismOrganization (World Tourism organization), TurkicCouncil (Turkic Council) and the Shanghai cooperation organization.
