May, 18, is the international Museum day, when residents and guests of Kazan have the opportunity to visit the museums of the Kazan Kremlin for free. The center "Hermitage-Kazan", Museum of natural history of Tatarstan, Museum of nationhood history of Tatarstan, Exhibition hall "Manege", Museum of the Annunciation Cathedral History will be opened from 10:00 to 18:00. The Museum of Islamic arts – from 9:00 to 19:30.

The thematic session "Halal tourism: the status quo and future outlook" will be held on May, 18, as a part of the IX International economic summit "Russia – the Islamic world: KazanSummit 2017" with the participation of Nikolay Korolev, Deputy head of the Federal Agency for tourism, and Sergey Ivanov, chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for tourism, and other guests.

Topics for discussion will be: "General trends of Halal tourism development in Russia. Opportunities for tourists from Muslim countries, Halal friendly is one of the key segments of the loyalty program "Russian hospitality", "The world football championship FIFA 2018. Offers for fans and tourists from the Islamic world", "Monuments of Islamic religious culture as a point of attraction for tourists and pilgrims," etc.

On April 26, 2017, in anticipation of the opening of the new tourist season the State Committee of the Republic

of Tatarstan for tourism has organized the advertising and information tour for representatives of tour operators and media in the city of Great Bolgar.

The main objects of the Bolgar state air-open Museum were introduced to participants: the White mosque, the Memorial sign, the Gabdrakhman’s well, the Eastern mausoleum, the White chamber, the Small minaret and the Khan's mausoleum, the Museum "Doctor’s House" and others. Also, guests visited the historical-ethnographic complex "Museum of Bread".

Visits to other tourist objects of our republic: cities of Chistopol, Yelabuga and so on are also included as a part of the program of promotional tours.

On 29 April, at 14.00, the open air museum "Kazan Kremlin" invites to watch the festive program that coincides with the opening of the tourist season. The Kazan Kremlin is the principal magnet for thousands of tourists from different cities and countries. As a part of the concert and entertainment program it will be introduced to visitors, what pleasant surprises were prepared in the Kazan "Fortress of culture", what festivals and celebrations will be held on its territory and what interesting projects of the exhibition can be seen in museums. Participants will learn what a flash mob will be hold in the Kremlin on the Victory Day and what exciting things are being prepared for the traditional Festival "We love the Kremlin!" that coincides with the International children's day and for the Military brass bands Festival "Flourishes of Kazan", which takes place on August 25-26 this year.

The state Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for tourism recommends tourist organizations that provide services on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, to exclude visits to the inside of the buildings complex "the Temple of all religions" (Kazan, village of Staroye Arakchino, h. 4) from sightseeing programs and guided tours because the interior is not suitable for staying of large groups of people.

As a part of advertising and informational tour, the representatives of tour operators from Vietnam are staying in Tatarstan from the 25th to the 27th of April. During their stay, guests will see the sights of Kazan, walk along pedestrian Bauman street, visit the island-town Sviyazhsk, the Great Bolgar, try local goods in some stores such as "Arysh-May".

From the 18th of December, 2016, till the the 17th of June, 2017, the Science and Technology Museum "Technorama" is opened in the Almetjevsk city. The Swiss science center “Technorama” is one of the world's benchmark centres of recreational science. This is a unique experimental environment, where everyone, regardless of age or gender, can get acquainted with natural phenomena in the form of informal and very interesting presentation.

The start of the regional competition of the all-Russian festival-contest "Tourist souvenir" for the North-Western and Volga Federal districts has been announced. In 2017 the final of the regional competition of the all-Russian festival-contest "Tourist souvenir" will be held on 11th  - 12th of June in Nizhny Novgorod as the part of the Vth  anniversary of the International folk crafts festival "Secrets of masters".

The competition serves as a platform for sharing experience and cooperation between all interested individuals and organizations in the sphere of production and sales of tourist souvenirs that promotes developing the market of domestic tourist souvenirs production.

As part of the advertising and informational tour the representatives of tour operators from the UAE stay in Tatarstan from 16th until 20th of April. They have already visited the Kazan Kremlin, the Old Tatar settlement, the island town of Sviyazhsk, walked along the main street of Kazan - Bauman street, visited a few hotels. Yesterday, the guests went to see the Museum of Chuck-Chuck, the restaurant complex "Tugan Avylym", the interactive complex "Town Panorama", the Kazan AquaPark and other family recreation places.

We’d like to remind that the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for tourism works actively to raise the interest of citizens and residents of the Persian Gulf countries in Tatarstan as the region with rich tourist potential. In March, 2017, as part of a series of presentation road shows organized by the airline "flydubai" and the National marketing center "Visit Russia" the Republic was presented in the UAE, Bahrain and Kuwait.

Sergey Ivanov, the Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for tourism, is being on the official delegation headed by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The program includes participation in the Tatarstan-Iranian Business Forum, where he will deliver presentation of tourist opportunities in Tatarstan. In addition, in the work program there are visits to the Mashhad University of Ferdowsi, the architectural complex of Imam Reza, and the Chamber of Commerce and industry of Mashhad. In Mashhad Sergei Ivanov will also present the Republic of Tatarstan as a region for tourism.
