“Visit Tatarstan” brand became the winner of the International Competition “Tourist Brand: Best Practices 2016” in the nomination "Tourist destination/cluster brand” in the category “Professional Project (current tourist brand).” In total 14 participants were presented in this category. The solemn ceremony of summarizing and rewarding of winners and laureates of the contest was held today at the 22nd International Tourism Exhibition OTDYKH LEISURE. International competition “Tourist Brand: Best Practices 2016” is established as an open contest of proposals for the achievements in the creation, development and promotion of tourist brands. This is the authoritative award, which is awarded on the basis of the assessment of branding of tourism companies and facilities by an international jury, composed of professionals in the tourism and marketing.

On the 15th of September, at 3 pm the Exhibition hall of Elabuga state reserve museum will open an exhibition from collections of the Sverdlovsk local history museum dedicated to the Nevyansk icon.

City Nevyansk, which grew out of a village at the metallurgical plant founded at the end of the XVII century, is the first mountain capital of the Demidov family. The summer project "Hospitable Kazan" annually implemented by ANO “Tourism volunteers’ assembly of the Republic of Tatarstan” with the support of the Republic of Tatarstan State Committee on Tourism was finished. In 2016 the project “Hospitable Kazan" provided more than 25 000 tourists with information services.

200 volunteers from specialized Kazan universities participated in the project. Works were carried out daily from the beginning of June until the end of August in the five busiest touristic spots of the city: the Old-Tatar Sloboda, Kamala theater, near the hotel "Shalyapin Palace Hotel ", "Nogai " and the Kazan Kremlin. in informational points every tourist could absolutely free get a city map, tourist trails, cultural events poster, as well as recommendations for the pastime, children's and outdoor activities.
In addition to informational support, volunteers conducted a survey of tourists visiting Kazan. Its main goal was the definition of a portrait of the tourist, the purpose of his visit, the preference of accommodation facilities. Among visitors there were residents of Moscow, Ufa, Ulyanovsk, Orenburg, Voronezh, Samara, Tver, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, St. Petersburg, Severodvinsk, Yekaterinburg, as well as China, citizens of France, India, the Czech Republic, Germany and Vietnam.

In the State committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on tourism the meeting with the vice-chairman of the State committee on tourism of Turkmenistan Akynyyaz Agamyradov took place. The presentation of tourist opportunities of Tatarstan was held by the vice-chairman of the State committee of RT on tourism Ekaterina Brabanova. She told about the main historic centers of the Republic: about Yelabuga, Bolgar, Kazan and island hail Sviyazhsk. It was told also about extensive show business, an opportunity to have a rest in the best Spa centers, excursions and the first-class placement. The delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of theCommittee on Tourism, is on working visit in Germany. Together with representatives of tour operators they are negotiating with German colleagues about a possibility of inclusion Tatarstan into the range of visit places by German tourists in Russia. Meeting has already been held in the cities such as Frankfurt am Main, Düsseldorf, Kiel and Hamburg.

The road show is aimed to support the direct flight made by “Aeroflot” airlines "Frankfurt am Main - Kazan" which was launched this year on the 17th of June. To attract more tourists from Frankfurt am Main and neighboring cities to Kazan there was developed an action plan to promote our region in Germany. The plan included working with media, promotional and informational tours and road shows.

On August 31 is 75 years from the date of Marina Tsvetaeva's leaving. Yelabuga became the last terrestrial point in her destiny: here in August, 1941 life of the great poet tragically sink. However still for many years her name was under a ban.

For the first time in Yelabuga it sounded in the mid-sixties, and the first Memorial Day of Marina Tsvetaeva was spent in September, 1968. Then teachers and students of the Yelabuga state teacher's institute came to an expected grave of the poet to lay flowers, to read favorite verses, to listen to the story of the Kazan writer R. Mustafin about poetic destiny of Tsvetaeva.
