From 31 October to 4 November Kazan will host XXIV International Festival of fantasy and role-playing games "Zilantkon 2014." This year, the festival received about 500 applications from participants from different regions of Russia, as well as from neighboring countries.

From 16 to 19 October in Kazan will host an international festival of the best new films about music, Beat Weekend. The festival will show stories of Nick Cave, Alice Cooper, Group «Blur», «Pulp» and «Duran Duran», «Moby» and «Prodigy». Shows will be held simultaneously in 30 cities of Russia. In Kazan the only venue for the festival will be the cinema "Mir".

Chairman of the State Committee of on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan Tourism Sergey Ivanov, is on a working visit to Ashkelon, Israel.
On January 1, 2015 registration of the foreign passport will rise in price according to the website of the Federal Migration Service of Russia. Thus, the cost of the passport of the old sample will increase from 1000 rub to 2000 rub for adults and from 300 rubles to 1000 rub for children under 14. Furthermore, tariffs on foreign passports of new generation will increase from 2500 rub to 3500 rub for adults and from 1200 to1500 rub for children.
National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan invites everyone on 5 October at 11:00am on a walking tour of "street that is four centuries long". The excursion will take place on one of the main walking street of the city, where the past meets the present and historic buildings are combined with modern buildings - on the Bauman street. During the tour you will be able to once again see the citizens’ favorite fountains and monuments and learn about the history and meaning of the streets in the life of the city as well as to see Kazan’s famous buildings.

This Friday, the Museum of the socialist way of life opens its new season of "Kvartirnik" (“theatrical home performances”). These activities have already become popular among Kazan citizens and visitors. On 3 October at 18:00 will be an opening of the Good Mood club. Venue was not chosen by chance – it will take place at the famous pancake café on Bauman (now cafe "Kluchnikov"). There visitors can enjoy Musical mini-play "Unknown socialist lifestyle or emotion from the briefcase".
