To study Tatarstan’s tourism potential and develop the Vietnamese market segment, a representative of Vietravel has arrived in the republic. Over the course of a week, the guest will explore the region’s key tourist attractions, accommodation facilities, countryside and wellness recreation options, as well as local gastronomy.

Ms. Vuong Bao Chan, Product Manager of the Vietnamese tour operator Vietravel, has come to Tatarstan to take part in a promotional and informational tour organised by the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism. The purpose of the visit is to examine the region’s tourism infrastructure with a view to potentially expanding tourism products targeting Vietnamese citizens.

As part of the packed one‑week programme, the representative of the Vietnamese tourism business will inspect 4‑star and 5‑star hotels in Kazan, including the Korston Club Hotel, Suleiman Palace Hotel, Ramada by Wyndham, DoubleTree by Hilton, and others.

The guest will visit the Kazan Kremlin — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — to learn about Kazan’s history. The programme also includes a tour of Sviyazhsk Island Town, with its unique Museum of Archaeological Wood and historic cathedrals, as well as an excursion to the ancient city of Bolgar, featuring the Quran Museum and the White Mosque.

An important part of the promotional tour will be getting to know the culture and gastronomy of Tatarstan, where the guest will taste dishes of Tatar, Russian, and Asian cuisines. Ms. Vuong Bao Chan will also visit the new Crafts Centre, assess the recreation opportunities at the “Utrau” and “Les i Reka” country recreation centres, the “Pacha Mama” alpaca park, and explore the wellness potential of the “Plyazh” thermal complex.

Promoting Tatarstan in priority foreign markets, including the countries of Southeast Asia, is an important focus within the framework of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality” and efforts to increase the export of tourism services.
