On September 1 at 9:00 a.m. citizens of Elabuga organized a flash mob "Culture" as part of the International Festival "Culture in the small towns of the Russian province" and the Year of Culture in Russia. More than 500 people - students, their parents, teachers and school №2 and employees of Elabuga State Museum joined the flash mob.
The Exhibition Hall EGMZ opens the exhibition "The First World War" on September 3, at 12.3 0p.m. This is a joint project of the State Historical Museum (Moscow) and Elabuga State Museum.

For many centuries, traditional crafts of Tatars have been the jeweler's art and golden embroidery, leather mosaic, tambour embroidery and fixing weaving, woodworking, felting fishing. Due to tradition and preserved products, made by craftsmen of the past, those wonderful crafts are now known for their originality and popularity.
On August 30, the City Day of Kazan and the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan, National Museum of Tatarstan invites you to a traditional celebratory event "Priceless pages of history", which begins with a costume parade "Familiar silhouettes ..." on the main and central streets of the city at 11.00.
August 30 is the City Day of Kazan and the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan. Holiday events will be held in the heart of the city, the Kazan Kremlin.
On August 30, as part of the first Museum regatta of Tatarstan, National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan is organizing for everyone a bus excursion from Kazan - Tchistopol - Kazan.
National Crafts Fair "Heritage of centuries" will be held on August 30 at 1 May Square from 12.00 to 20.00. There all visitors will be able to buy unique souvenirs from folk artists, and to the fair and join Fair Applied culture.

The competition program of the X International Festival of Muslim Cinema in Kazan has been formed in the category "Animation." Members of the jury will choose the winner out of 10 cartoons.

UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova said that Sviyazhsk is in the preliminary list for inclusion in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. She announced it during a visit to the historical building on 21 August. Ms Bokova was accompanied by the state adviser of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev during her visit.
Chairman of the State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, Sergey Ivanov is taking part in the All-Russian meeting on the implementation of the federal target program "Development of domestic tourism in the Russian Federation (2011 - 2018 years)" in Pskov, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets.
