February 8, 2017 Chak-Chak Museum (Kazan) won 4 prizes at the International Competition “Taste experience – 2016”: top place in nomination “Food in travel”, in the category "What to try" for the best mouthfeel of food product, top place in nomination “Food & traditions”, in the category “Peoples of Russia traditions” for safety and inviolability of traditions, second best in nomination “Dressing of food” for the best package, 3rd place in nomination “When it comes to dessert “ for the best sweet mouthfeel.

From 7 to 14 February the Arts and Crafts Museum-Workshop of Elabuga State Museum-Reserve invites to visit master-classes anyone wishing to give joy to loved ones with handmade gifts. Souvenirs with this holiday traditional heart heart-shaped element are prepared for all-comers, intending to purchase our craftsmen goods.

Attention of all active and talented people! The Republic of Tatarstan State Committee on Tourism announces a vacancy of tourism industry development department head.

None of the day is like the previous one in tourism business. Working in this industry and particularly in the Republic of Tatarstan State Committee on tourism, one can observe dear land from different foreshortenings, view it in the new light and fall in love with it again. All that we do is very important for the development of our Republic, and therefore important for each of us.

Tourism industry development department head duty will include development of the Republic as tourist destination, work with universities and schools, organization of various professional competitions, active development of caravanning and water tourism, implementation of new and maintaining of already- existing ideas in event tourism and other no less interesting jobs! Working in the Republic of Tatarstan State Committee on tourism, one will be able to fulfill potential, upgrade professionalism level and bring to life the most brilliant ideas.

Of course, there are certain hiring specifications:

1. Higher professional education, equal to or higher than magistracy specialist's degree

2. At least three years of relevant professional experience (in tourism or tourism-related industries) or at least 2 years experience in public sector.

3. Good analytical skills.

4. Analytical materials and speeches writing skills.

5. Fluent English.

6. Be natural born leader, to lead the team at the right time.

From February 7, in Elabuga State Museum-Reserve Exhibition Hall will start working an amazing exhibition “Dolls of the World”. It will uncurtain to visitors the attention-getting world of dolls of different nations, having presented 278 exhibits from more than 100 countries. “Dolls of the world” exhibition makes brain reel not only by toys variety, but also by their purpose. One can learn, for example, the purpose of doll-changeling and why does doll-desyatiruchka need so many limbs. The exhibition also displays exquisite Japanese porcelain dolls and ancient anthropomorphic figurines, featuring various deities or appearing in the role of sin-offering, evil spirits “trap", amulets or mascot. In another section are mystery dolls and theatre puppets. The history thereof allows viewing all range of the toys’ thematic functions.

On February 18, “Hot Winter” event will return to Kazan! Spectacular jousts will gather more than 200 participants from different regions of Russia. At the site of Cultural and Leisure Complex named after V. I. Lenin will take part competitions according to the Russian Federation of Modern Sword Fightingversion. The youngest athletes at the  ages 6-7 will get at a tiltyard. Modern Sword Fighting athletes will hand the baton to the main competition of the day -the most tough and uncompromising contest in the world “Donjon Cup”, where athletes are fighting in 1x1 format. Then contests in 3x3 format, under HMB Russia rules, will take part at the tiltyard.

Also, through the day will operate folk artistic craft fair, interactive children's playground, crossbow shooting range and many master classes. Visitors will be able to fight with sport swords - chanbara, become participant of medieval dances and medieval concert ofTEUFELSTANZ - True & EvilMedievalFolk.

On January 18, the Museum Selfie action is going to be held all around the world. The Museum of Fine Arts will traditionally join this action, while the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan is going to give awards for participation this year. Annual pass to the museum and its branches will be given to those who will get the most of Likes for their pictures. The action is held for the fourth year in a row and appeals to make visiting museums more popular.

 

Kazan took the forth place as one of the most popular destinations among foreign tourists who visited Russia during the New Year’s holidays in 2017.

According to the RoomGuru.ru service information, foreign tourists stayed at hotels of Kazan for two nights at average, by paying 4,1 thousand rubles for day and night. To be compared: in Moscow the tourists paid 4,3 thousand rubles for three nights, in St. Petersburg – 3,9 thousand rubles for three nights, and in Vladivostok – 3,4 thousand rubles for two and a half nights.

On January, 26 the exhibition room of the State Museum Preserve in Yelabuga is going to throw open the doors to a real fairy-tale which was created by Alexandra Druzhinina. The exhibition “Music of silence” will tell of the wonderful nature of the country by inviting to the magical world of little tiny drops and insects. The photographs and paintings of Alexandra, filled with light and goodness, will lead you through the spring woodlands and phantasies inspired by Yelabuga.
