Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the event “Unveil Latvia with AirBaltic”. Also, the participants of the event were Astra Kurme, Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to the Russian Federation, Andrei Larchenko, Head Air Baltic Corporation Representative Office in Russia and CIS, representatives of Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia Tourism Department in Russia and municipal relevant agency of the city of Riga, as well as tour operators, providing tourists reception in the territory of Latvia. There have been presented tourism opportunities of Latvia and attention was paid to visa issues. Hereafter were held working sessions with all the participants of Latvian delegation.
In his welcoming speech, Sergey Ivanov once again stressed the importance of opening a new flight travel “Convenient transport logistics always increases prospects for tourism development. Therefore, having learned about potential opportunity for getting new carrier in our region, especially European one, we latched onto this idea. For us this flight is significant chance enhancing for better operation with the European market as well as opportunity for our tour operators. Today we are closely working with Germany, Finland and establishing more active contacts with Spain, France, Portugal, thus this carrier is very interesting for us. There was big competition among the Russian cities, where AirBaltic was supposed to come, and I’m very pleased that both Airline Company and Mrs. Ambassador personally, have invested plenty of efforts, and this carrier appeared in Kazan. This is great opportunity for us.”
From 2 to 4 April in Milan (Italy) was held the largest country tourist exhibition representing the best offers of industry firms. At this year exhibition the Republic of Tatarstan was represented by delegation consisting of five people, headed by Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Tourism. Also, the delegation included representatives, interested in the development of inbound tourism in the Republic of Tatarstan.
In the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Tourism was held the meeting with Tatyana Sazhaeva, Director of RSBI “Tourist Center of the Altai Territory”. The meeting was attended by Arthur Abdrashitov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Natalia Abramovich, General Director of LLC “Tourist-Info Center of Kazan”, Evgeni Terentyev, Executive Director of Republican Association of Sanatoriums and Resorts “Sanatoriums of Tatarstan”. Within the framework of the meeting was made presentation of the Altai Territory tourism opportunities. There have been discussed issues of transport logistics between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Altai Territory, both sides’ tourism opportunities as regards to sanatorium issues, possible ways of regions’ tourist flow increase
Presentation of tourist opportunities of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as a new tour itinerary “Tatarstan: 1001 Pleasures” was held in the city of Manama, the capital of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The presentation was conducted by Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Tourism. It shall be recalled that for Gulf countries’ guests have been prepared 6 days and 5 nights, and 3 days and 2 nights’ packages with visiting Kazan Kremlin, Kremlin Embankment, Sviyazhsk Island, SPA- complex, restaurants of local and European cuisine and other leisure facilities. Trip to Veliky Bolgar, Yamashurma Tatar village and shopping around local producers were offered as an option
Today Nowruz holiday will be celebrated in the Bulgarian State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve. At the festival will operate two playgrounds: concert-entertaining “Nawruz Maidany” and cooking “Nowruz Dastarkhany”. This time setting of festive table has been entrusted to students of Spassky Technical Industry Technologies College Food Technology Department. They will regale guests with Tatar and Russian baked foods
A competition has been announced for incorporation in succession pool of the Republic of Tatarstan State Committee on Tourism, Tourist Industry Development Department for major job family of “specialists” category (1 unit). Travel agents of Russian Information Center in India stay in Tatarstan, as a part of advertising and information tour. They have already had an opportunity to get acquainted with Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve, visited Sviyazhsk Island, admired evening city view from the Ferris wheel in “Riviera”, and also participated in “India Friendly” program presentation. The project mission is creation of comfortable environment in Russia for those Indian tourists who having travelled outside their country suffer number of problems and inconveniences due to national and culture sensitivities, and traditions of everyday life. Today the guests are on visit to Veliky Bolgar city and tomorrow in the State Committee on tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan will be conducted a meeting with Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the Committee.
Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of Tatarstan State Committee on Tourism made presentation of the Republic tourist potential at the 6th session of Dialogue and Forum “The United Russia Party” -Communist Party of China”. He spoke about major tourist attractions of Tatarstan, such as Kazan Kremlin and Veliky Bolgar city, objects that might be of interest to China guests -Lenin Museum and Kazan University, and future major sporting events, etc. He also noted Tatarstan efforts for attracting tourists from China, such as launching of the new charter flight Urumqi-Kazan-Urumqi, successful implementation of China Friendly project and development of special offerings. All of this has allowed increasing number of Chinese tourists by 30%.
At the end of his speech, Sergei Ivanov challenged Chinese companies to invest in Republic of Tatarstan tourism industry.
Aigul Balahontseva, Head of Tourist Product Promotion Department of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism, presented Tatarstan at “See who we are!!” online exhibition. She spoke about the Republic in general, about transport accessibility and peculiarities of the region, excursion routes, conditions for business trips, and also about event tourism. All webinars dedicated to tourism in Tatarstan will be held today and over 4000 people have already entered the participants’ list. In addition Julia Talanova, Director of LLC Travel & Voc, Daria Antonova, Head of “Persona Grata” Company Inbound Tourism Department, Olga Ikun, Managing Partner of Group of Companies “Kazan Travels Bureau” and Marat Kalimullin, General Manager of the “Nogai” Hotel Complex will appear as experts. They will speak about new and existing programs for tourists and many other things.
Tomorrow at “Relita” hotel, at 3 pm will be held presentation of “India Friendly” program. “India Friendly” project mission is creation of comfortable environment in Russia for those Indian tourists who having travelled outside their country suffer number of problems and inconveniences due to national and culture sensitivities, and traditions of everyday life. Two Tatarstan hotels “Relita” and “Korston” have already become participants of the program.
