Chairman of the State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, Sergei Ivanov in his Instagram account invited the Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, to visit the Republic of Tatarstan.
"When I found out that you want to come to Russia, I decided to personally invite you to Kazan – one of the most beautiful cities in our country. The Republic of Tatarstan has rich cultural and historical traditions, especially since it is located on the Trans-Siberian Railway. So, come to us, please! I'm waiting for you!" – He said in his address.

It should be noted that Sergei Ivanov's personal invitation was not accidental: earlier Angela Merkel attended a children's press conference in the course of the election campaign to the Bundestag, where she announced that she would like to visit the Rocky Mountains in the USA and ride along the Trans-Siberian Railway. According to RIA "Russia Today", "Russian Railways" have already expressed their readiness to fulfill the Chancellor's dream.
