On November 1-2, the final All-Russian tourist award "Route of the Year" 2017 in Kazan was held. The State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan and Public Relations Development Foundation Region PR were the organizers of the final of the Award.
446 projects from 67 regions of the country were declared for All-Russian tourism award "Route of the Year" 2017. 121 projects from 36 regions were presented in the national final. On November 1, the public presentations of the projects of the finalists were held; following the results, the members of Advisory Council have defined the winners of the All-Russian tourist award "Route of the Year" 2017.
Within the awards ceremony the Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on tourism, Sergei Ivanov was awarded the Letter of gratitude for a big personal contribution in the creation and development of interregional tourist routes.
Today was opened the interceptive parking in the driveway to the Sviyazhsk Island town. The ceremony attended the Head of the Federal Tourism Agency Oleg Safonov, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Vasyl Shajhraziev and the Chairman of the State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, Sergei Ivanov.
"For us, the creating of interceptive parking near the Sviyazhsk Island town is extremely important, because there is a very large tourist traffic. We understood that it was necessary to create a parking zone. We created a high-quality tourist infrastructure, which, of course, will work for tourists who come to Tatarstan," - said Oleg Safonov at the opening.
"IV KAZAN TOURISM FORUM 2017. Benchmarks for the future” was started in the State television and radio broadcasting company Korston, which was held on November 1-2 in Kazan. The forum is a significant international event for all participants of travel business in Russia, which is held every two years. The theme of this year’s forum is Integrated Management of Tourist Territories. The forum was organized with the support of the Federal Agency for Tourism and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Today, the final of All-Russian Tourist Prize "Route of the Year" 2017 was opened in the State television and radio broadcasting company Korston, which Kazan was held on November 1-2 in the framework of “KAZAN TOURISM FORUM 2017. Benchmarks for the future”. The participants presented their projects to the expert jury and answered their questions. Each contestant had decided in what form he/she would present his/her project; lots of them brought not only the presentations but also had prepared the interactive performances in suits as well as the dishes of national cuisine.
A meeting on construction of a parking lot for the tourist and recreational cluster “Sviyazhsk” along the road “Access road to Sviyazhsk town island” in Zelenodolsk municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan was held on October 12, 2017 on Sviyazhsk island.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan and Committee Member Sergey Evgenevich Ivanov, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan Liana Marselevna Saetova, Coordinator of Work with Mass Media of the All-Russian National Front of the Republic of Tatarstan Albina Zakidullina, Deputy Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Public Council of the State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan Director of Kazan branch of the Russian International Academy for Tourism Kirill Nikolaevich Ponomarev, Chairman of the Tour Guides Association of the Republic of Tatarstan Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Sekretova, Deputy Director of the State Public Institution "Glavtatdortrans" Ruslan Albertovich Musin, and Director of the Museum-Reserve "The Island of Sviyazhsk“ Artem Nikolaevich Silkin.
Construction of the intercept parking lot for the access road 4 km away from the island will reduce the human impact on the buffer zone of the UNESCO World Heritage Site “The Dormition Cathedral and Monastery of Sviyazhsk town Island”, and improve the tourism services, which fact will contribute to the growth of the tourist flow. The parking lot area is 14,993 sq.m. Its capacity is 549 vehicles, including 454 cars. The sources of financing include: the budget of the Russian Federation – 41.8 million rubles, the budget of the Republic of Tatarstan – 71.2 million rubles, non-budget sources (hotels) – 302.0 million rubles. The estimated end date of construction is October 26, 2017.
The members of the public control committee have found that implementation of the Federal Special-Purpose Program “The development of the internal and incoming tourism in the Russian Federation (2011-2018)” in the Republic of Tatarstan was satisfactory.

Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan Artur Abdrashitov presented the touristic potential of the republic to the guests. As a result of the meeting, an action plan (roadmap) aimed at developing relationships in the sphere of tourism between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan was signed, which supplemented the Agreement on cooperation in the area of tourism development between the State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan and the State Committee on Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

On October 14 the Natural History Museum of Tatarstan invites everyone to take a remarkable journey, where usual things will tell us amazing stories visible only through a microscope.
The scientists know that plant cells are distinguished not only by the presence of chloroplasts with chlorophyll. Participants of the workshop will have a unique opportunity to take a closer look at the plant cells and find out, what distinguishes plants from the representatives of the other kingdoms of life. Using a microscope and fixed specimens, kids will be able to take a closer look at cells and tissues of plants, to learn the structure of caryopsis, anther, root cap and conductive tissues of stalks.
The sessions will be held at 12:00 p.m. and 14:00 p.m. by previous appointment, each lesson will take 45 minutes.

On October 10, 2017 at 11:00 the Gabdulla Tukay Literary Museum is holding an event called “Coming back: in 110 years to Tukay, to room 40”, devoted to the 110th anniversary of G. Tukay’s comeback from Uralsk to Kazan.
The Gabdulla Tukay Literary Museum conducts various cultural and educational activities, including literary, musical and authorship evenings; meetings with the creative community; presentations of exhibitions, books and media products; museum holidays; museum and pedagogic training, and master classes. The museum personnel place a great emphasis on studying and promoting the milestone events in life and creative work of G. Tukay. One of such events was his comeback to Kazan from Uralsk in autumn 1907, where he had lived for 12 years and established himself as a great person, journalist, and poet.
The event devoted to the 110th anniversary of this milestone will be held at the building of the former hotel “Bulgar”, where G. Tukay lived in room 40. The presentation of the only display in the Republic of Tatarstan called “Here lived Tukay, the poetry lived here” will be held within the framework of the program. The first Deputy of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan E.R. Kamalova and General Director of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan Doctor of Historical Sciences G.R. Nazipova will speak before guests. Prefect of the territory of the Municipal Public Institution “Prefecture ‘Old City’ Executive Committee of Kazan” M.Z. Usmanov will speak about Old Tatar Sloboda, the place where he met G. Tukay and his epoch. The Chairman of the Union of the Writers of the Republic of Tatarstan will cover the main topics of Kazan period of G. Tukay’s work. Performing artists of the Tatar Academic Theatre named after G. Kamal, G. Tukay’s award winner Ildus Akhmedzyanov, Rishat Akhmadullin and Ilnur Zakirov will take part in the event.
From October 7 through October 16 a republic-wide environment protection campaign called “Week of Forest – 2017” is taking place. Kazan joined the campaign on October 7. On this day a voluntary clean-up was held in Orel settlement of Laishevsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan.
This campaign will continue up until October 16, 2017. Events aimed at promoting environmental awareness, and improvement of the sanitary condition of the city forests and forests in adjacent areas, as well as other events, will be held across the republic. In other regions of the Russian Federation, the campaign is called “Live, forest!”
