On 23 September at the hotel "Mirage" there was a working meeting on the further development of inbound and outbound tourism in the regions of Central European and Russian cities. The meeting was organized by the National Tourist Offices of Central European countries - Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, with the support of the Russian Union of Travel Industry.
Kazan expects one of the biggest tourist flows in the country during the New Year holidays. It is now among top 5 popular destinations for winter travel.
The "Aeroflot" airline reduces the amount of food in economy class. Reduction concerns mainly low duration flights of 3 hours and 6-8 hours according to Travel.ru. On short flights up to two hours a snack box with a small snack (or ciabatta) is replaced by a sandwich with ham and cheese. On routes lasting from 2 to 3 hours instead of the so-called cold lunch only snack box will be served.

On 23 September, 2014 at 10:00 am in the conference hall of the hotel "Mirage" was a working meeting with representatives of tourist business of the Tatarstan Republic, organized by the Russian Union of Travel Industry, dedicated to the development and increase in the mutual flow of tourists from the countries of Central Europe.
On September 24, 2014 the State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Tourist Information Centre of Zelenodolsky municipal area, in order to promote cultural tourism, is organizing press tour to Zelenodolsky region of Tatarstan.

The territory of the Kazan zoological and botanic gardens will be twice expanded, said the mayor's office. In 2016, the garden will celebrate the 210th anniversary. To clear new areas that are currently occupied with industrial waste ofv power plants, Tatarstan budget allocated 25 million rubles. Alongside these works, development the project of reconstruction of the object will be carried out.
Sergey Ivanov, the Chairman of the State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan is taking part in the XIII International Investment Forum "Sochi-2014", which takes place from 18 to 20 September 2014 in Sochi. The delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan is led by the Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov.
From 19 to 22 September 2014 the ship "Surgeon Razumovsky", which follows the route of "Samara-Kazan-Samara", will host the I Interregional Conference for Leaders and Entrepreneurs of the Hospitality Industry "TurPrityazhenie" will be held in Kazan
