Finale of the «Turkvision» song contest, which is an analog of Eurovision to be held in Kazan on November 21. This year «Turkvision» will unite 25 singers and bands. Semifinal and final of the «Turkvision» will also be held in "Tatneft-Arena" on 19 and 20 November respectively. TV audience of the song contest will be up to 300 million viewers worldwide. Republic of Tatarstan in the international competition will be represented by the 26-year-old Aydar Suleyman from Zainsk.
As part of the commemoration of the centenary of the First World War, the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan will open the exhibition "Unknown Great War 1914-1918" on 11 November. This is the biggest exhibition among the museums of the Republic, since the formation of the collections by the First World War began in the war years. The exhibition aims to present the events of the war years on the basis of authentic artifacts and contemporaries, to return from oblivion the names and deeds of our countrymen, to show their contribution to the defense of the Fatherland on the battlefields and in the rear.
The State Museum of Fine Art invites all citizens and guests of Kazan to visit an exhibition of works of Nicholas Roerich (1874-1947). Exhibition of the collection of the State Russian Museum is devoted to the 140th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian artist, designer, philosopher, traveler, archaeologist and public figure. The exhibition, located in the halls of the second floor, presents 82 paintings that reflect different periods of the master: 80 works from the collection of the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg) and two - from the collection of the Pushkin Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan).
On 20 November , Tatar State Puppet Theater "Ekiyat" its 80th anniversary. The event will include the showcase of archival photographs, documentary materials and excerpts from performances over the years. Hosts and guests of the event will remember those who stood at the cradle of birth of Puppet Theater, and those who dedicated their lives to the profession, says the press office of the theater.
