On the eve of St. Valentine's Day, February 13, a "love bus" will appear on the streets of Kazan. The mobile registry office will help in the search for the significant other and enable couples to rehearse a marriage ceremony.
The "love bus" will also offer a variety of contests and themed gifts. Gypsy airs will create a festive atmosphere and elicit deep emotions. The bus route will pass through the main college campuses and the Universiade Village.

The first organized tourist group from China is expected in Kazan in 2015. An agreement on cooperation between the Tatarstan State Committee for Tourism and the largest Chinese tour operator, International Travel Service, was signed last October. This was announced by chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, Sergei Ivanov, during today's final board meeting.
According to him, the State Committee persistently worked throughout the year to promote Tatarstan tourism at home and abroad. In 2014, the republic tourist potential was represented at eight international exhibitions, including the world's largest tourist exhibition in London.
According to Sergei Ivanov, tourists from China are the most promising segment, which should be targeted by Tatarstan's tourist market players. "In 2014, Chinese visitors took first place in Russia. Most of them visited only Moscow and St. Petersburg, and our task is to join the list. Last year, our republic was visited by more than 30 Chinese tour operators. The State Committee participated in presenting Tatarstan's tourist potential in Taipei, Beijing and Shanghai. The arrival of the first tourist groups from China in Tatarstan is expected later this year," said the chairman of the State Committee.
Note that Kazan, together with Kazan Federal University, is training 50 guides to work in five foreign languages: Chinese, Arabic, Turkish, English and Italian.
Kazan was rated as the most cost-effective Russian city for couples' travel on Valentine's Day, according to the Travel.ru website, which calculated the cost exclusively for the Forbes magazine.
When calculating the cost of a budget getaway for two, the following expenditures were taken into account: a night in an inexpensive hotel, dinner for two at a restaurant (two courses and a glass of wine) and a visit to a museum or an exhibition, or a romantic tour of the city. In total, a lovers' budget trip to Kazan averages 2,430 rubles.
The top 10 Russian cities also include Arzamas, Kungur, Novokuznetsk, Yalta, Murom, Rostov Veliky, Svetlogorsk, Rostov-on-Don and Pyatigorsk.

On January 22, Museum-Reserve of Kazan Kremlin celebrated its birthday. As a present for its visitors, the museum opened its doors for free.
During this day Center "Hermitage-Kazan", Natural History Museum of Tatarstan, the Museum of the Gun Court, the Museum of Islamic culture, the Museum of the History of statehood of the Tatar people and Exhibition Hall "Manege" welcomed more than 12 000 visitors. Guests of the festival went to a museum for new experiences, knowledge and bright emotions. And they got them!

The State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan presents an exhibition of works by world famous Russian marine painter, author of paintings devoted to the history of the domestic fleet and coastal cities, Ivan Aivazovsky (1817-1900). The exhibition called "Aivazovsky and navy" opens on 5 December 2014.
