Dear colleagues, representatives of tourist industry, guests of the Republic of Tatarstan, I congratulate you with Happy Forthcoming New Year 2017!

The year 2016 became the year of new discoveries and achievements. The whole year we were hard working on that Tatarstan became one of the region leader in the tourism market of Russia.

The new program of destination development VisitTatarstan were presented. It is aimed at creating and realization of global communication strategy marketing campaign to promote the tourist potential of the Republic, as well as the further development of the tourism industry in the region and bring it to modern international requirements and standards. VisitTatarstan- it is understanding of the region, as a region of 1001 pleasure. The program is intended to be an umbrella for the main tourist centers of: Kazan, Elabuga, Great Bolgar, Sviyazhsk island-town, Chistopol and Tetyushi.

An opening ceremony of one of the central New Year areas of Kazan, which is located at the Kazan hippodrome - National Village "Khan's yard" took place on December 24

According to the idea of promoters, "Khan's yard" will be the center of attraction for residents and visitors of the capital of Tatarstan in the New Year's holidays. The project is implemented by the initiative "Tatspirtprom" JSC with the support of the Executive Committee of Kazan.

The symbol of the village became a national Christmas tree-house "Khan’s Palace". For Kazan citizens on the territory of the hippodrome was created a varied entertainment infrastructure: market place for children, children's slides "Falcon Tower", stable yard, Husky Park, ice rink "Khan’s Lake". There also will work trade rows with national pastries and tea, products of national crafts masters:

At New Year's night buses, trams and trolleybuses Kazan will operate until 2 am. 36 routes and 65 units of rolling stock will serve for the residents of the city. January 1, 2017 on land transport starts at 7 am and will last until 23.30.

Metro will operate until 24.00 on December 31. January 1 Metro starts working at 6 o'clock in the morning

On December 23 at 17:00 the Showroom "Manezh" of Memorial estate "Kazan Kremlin" invites to "The St. Petersburg meetings". Within the “Travel to Tukay” exhibition guests from the Northern Capital have prepared the special program – a tribute the the  memory and dignity to one of the most great Tatar educators, the national poet Gabdulla Tukay.

The people's artist of Russia and Tatarstan, the famous singer Regat Ibragimov who presents his trilogy "By Sea Lives", "By the Destiny Ship", "Under a Love Sail", and also the audiobook of the first part will be  the special guest of evening. And, of course, he will execute several compositions.

The presentation of the big illustrated exhibition catalog will be one of the main events of a meeting. "A travel to Tukay.  To the 130 anniversary since the birth of the poet".

From year to year Tatarstan and Kazan hold the top places of ratings of tourist preferences for New Year's vacation. If for all last 2015 Tatarstan was visited by 2 million 700 thousand tourists, then only for New Year's holidays in Kazan New 2016 Year was met by 130 thousand tourists.

Indicators of these New Year's days gratify. For reception of guests 360 hotels, hostels, sanatoria and recreation facilities will work in holidays in the republic. According to means of placement, today in hotels 93% of the number of rooms are reserved in peak dates on January 2-6, about 78% of the number of rooms are reserved for a New Year's Eve. The average value of occupancy from 31.12.16 till 07.01 is 16 63,9% the Single room in hotels 3-4 * will cost on average 3200 rubles, double – 4400 rubles, in hostels -  from 600 rubles. Guests book hotels on average for three days.

Hotel booking hasn’t ended yet and it will be possible to show final data closer by new year, but it  is expected the bigger percent of occupancy.

On December 21, 2016 the committee meeting affiliated with  the chairman of the State committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on tourism on anti-corruption took place. The Chairman of the State committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on tourism Sergei Ivanov, the chief executive PEI HVE "Institute of social and humanitarian knowledge", the chairman of Public council affiliated with the State committee of the Republic of Tatarstan of tourism Kirill Ponomarev, the chairman of Association of guides of the Republic of Tatarstan, the member of Public council affiliated with the State committee of the Republic of Tatarstan of tourism Nadezhda Sekretova, the vice-chairman of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan, the member of Public council affiliated with the State committee of the Republic of Tatarstan of tourism Nikolaev Artur Sergeyevich and the staff of the State committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on tourism took part in it.

During the meeting were considered four questions. The first question concerned the implementation of the anti-corruption program of the State committee of the Republic of Tatarstan of tourism for 2015-2020 years following the results of 2016. Within the second considered question about results of activities of the Commission in affiliated with the chairman of the State committee of the Republic of Tatarstan of tourism on anti-corruption in 2016 and about approval of the work plan for 2017. On the third point it was reported on a prohibition to make and receive gifts. The fourth point reported on results of monitoring of information on corruption manifestations in the activities of officials placed in mass media and contained in the arriving addresses of citizens and legal entities in 2016.

Series of the festive New-Year events start in the Republic of Tatarstan

Kazan, on New Year's holidays, is the entrance gate for all tourists coming to our republic. In anticipation of New year again opens the New Year's fair in the Staro-Tatarskaya sloboda – this year there will be the third fair. From December 24 to January 7 traditionally 10 lodges will work at a fair where tourists will be able to buy New Year's souvenirs and products of national crafts of Tatarstan, and also to eat the Tatar ethnic cuisine. As well as last year, Kremin Embankment is waiting for you all to visit it. It is covered with LED figures, daisies and thousands of fires! In addition, in all winter period  guests and residents of Kazan will be pleased of the Kremlin skating rink of 1 kilometer - one of the longest skating rinks in Europe. In the territory of Kazan Arena stadium already took place the winter amusement park "Yurkin Park. Ice Age." There will a free hire of the skates for all comers in the Park. In addition to the ice skating rink more than 7 thousand sq.m, here organized about a dozen of winter entertainments for visitors of all age. A winter festival of the active sport in Kazan and the Republic of Tatarstan "Orange wind" will be passed for the first time on January 7 on the square near family Centre "Kazan". The program of a festival includes kiting and windsurfing competitions of professional athletes. About 10 thousand visitors are expected on this event and for them prepared the entertainment musical program, rolling on pillows and dogsleds, for convenience of guests there will work points of hot meals.

The memorial estate the Kazan Kremlin submits the extensive New Year's program. On December 27 on Spasskaya Tower of the Kazan Kremlin will be the unique light show. By means of the 3D-mapping format inhabitants and city visitors of Kazan will be able to observe the surprising metamorphoses arising from one of the main towers of ancient fortress. It will be possible to see it till December 31, 2016 and on January 2, 2017 from 18:00 till 22:00. Guests and residents of Kazan in holidays can visit bus- evening excursions "New Year's Kazan" and the New Year's excursion across the Kazan Kremlin. Also the memorial estate "Kazan Kremlin", invites inhabitants and city visitors to visit fancy-dress quest "Sezam, open!". The Kremlin fir-tree "The new tale of Shuraleh" will be organized for the smallest in showroom "Manezh". The isle-city Sviyazhsk presents the interactive fairy tale "Tale about Nikita the Strelets  and the Queen Syuyumbike" which will be from January 1 to January 10, 2016, program duration - 1 hour. Time of carrying out: 11.00, 13.00, 14.30, 16.00. Powerful duels; jumps through a huge jump rope; pulling of a rope; team game "Capture of an enemy banner"; competitions and riddles; archery and arbalest will be parts of the program. The place of carrying out – re-enactment complex "Lenivyi Torzhok". And on January 1,2 and 7 at 16:00 o'clock a spectacular fiery show will be in the program. Entertaining musical-game program "Sviyazhskie zabavy" will take place from January 2 to January 7 at 12:00 and 14.00 hours. In the program there will be ancient games, cheerful folk dances, performance of songs and chastushkas. Place of carrying out -  Yard of the Museum of history of Sviyazhsk.

On January 3 and 6 all guests are waited by the interactive program "Christmas Christmas Carols on the Sviyaga Earth". In the program real-life communication with sviyazhets, joint walk on streets of Sviyazhsk which will come to the end at Rozhdestvenskaya Square with ceremonial singing, dancings, delivery of memorable souvenirs and a festive tea drinking. And all of you are waiting for in the residence of Kysh-Babai in the Yana Kyrlay village in Arsk district. The New-Year program opened on the December, 3 and will last till January, 25. There will be interactive performances with the participation of the tatar national tales heroes. All, who wish, will be able to ride a horse and toboggan, get acquainted with the traditions of tatar national cuisine, visit the master-class of snowflakes making and take a part in merry competitions.

From 22th til 24th of February, 2017 in the trade and exhibition complex  “Gostinyi dvor” in Moscow will be held the II All-Russia exhibition “Open your own Russia”

The event is dedicated to the development of active, sports and auto-tourism on Russian Federation territory and it is powered by Federal Tourism Agency, international organizing committee of motor sport “The silk way”.

The main theme of this festive exhibition – is promotion of touristic brands, and searching of the solutions, focused on the import substitution in the touristic fields in Russian Federation.

At the 16th od December, in the Column hall of the Kazan city hall (33, Karl Marks street) there was an awarding ceremony of the republic competition “The leader of Tourism” winners. The Prime Minister of the Tatarstan Republic I. Sh. Halikov and the chairman of the Tatasten Republic State Committee of Tourism S. E. Ivanov had a words of salutation.
