The first results of the World Football Championship FIFA 2018 were summed up by 65 facilities accredited by the Visit Tatarstan brand. Among them, there are coffee shops, bars, and restaurants.

The poll showed that during the 20 days of the Championship, 87,927 liters of beer were drunk and 21,125 turnovers were eaten in accredited Kazan coffee shops and restaurants.

The average receipt of Russian fans is 1,500 rubles per person

The average receipt of a foreign fan is approximately 2,000 rubles per person.

The most friendly were the fans from Colombia. In the restaurant "Crossroads of Jazz," fans from Colombia invited the chef cook after dinner and performed a song as a token of gratitude.

On July 7th, in Rybnaya Sloboda, the annual holiday "Fisherman's Day" will be held. The event will begin at 02:00 PM with the competition of fishermen, and the action will move to the village embankment at 05:00 PM. In addition to the interactive program, festivals, races on rowing boats and games, holiday guests will be able to take part in the tasting of the "True Royal Fish Soup from Nikolayevich." The fifth regional cuisine festival "Gastronomic Map of Russia" WELCOME FOODBALL CUP will be held in Kazan on July 6th, the day of the match Brazil vs. Belgium. The festival site will unfold in the Central Park of Culture and Rest n.a. Gorky. 11 mobile restaurants will be open from 11 am to 10 pm.   

The project team passed the "equator" on June 28th in Kaliningrad, where the festival of regional cuisine "Gastronomic Map of Russia" WELCOME FOODBALL CUP was visited by foreign and Russian fans, as well as by Kaliningradians themselves. In the westernmost city of the country, a special Baltic menu was presented by chef cooks, restaurateurs, and Russian food producers. Perhaps, it was the only chance for fans at the World Cup 2018 to get acquainted with the dishes of the Baltic cuisine, which fit in one hand, in such a variety. 

Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan Sergey Ivanov met with the already famous fan from England Justin Walley. The meeting took place in informal setting, and journalists, who were very interested in Justin's story, were also present at the meeting in question.

On June 13th, 2018 at 03:00 PM, in the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan, a new exhibition "Tatarstan – Sports Republic" will be opened on the eve of the World Cup FIFA-2018

The World Cup is the largest sports event, which attracted the attention of millions of people around the world, truly a holiday for all the football fans. And the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan, being the largest museum in the region, possessing the richest collection of items related to the history of sports, personal belongings of outstanding athletes such as the Olympic champion in weightlifting Alexander Kurynov, international chess master Rashid Nezhmetdinov, Olympic champion in fencing Nail Gilyazova, and many others, did not stay away from the activities dedicated to this milestone event in the history of our country.

During the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Kazan, a parking lot for motor homes (campers) is being arranged within the territory of the Kazanskaya Yarmarka Exhibition Center (8 Orenburg Highway).

In total, Kazanskaya Yarmarka will be able to accommodate at least 50 motor homes at two main lots, and it is alson planned to arrange a single reserve lot.

Kazan is among the top three most popular cities for trips on the Russia Day. On the eve of the Russia Day, the tourist service Tvil.ru revealed which Russian destinations are most often chosen for trips and recreation on the June holiday weekend.  The rating is based on an analysis of reserved rooms in hotels and apartment hotels from June 10th, 2018 through June 12th, 2018.  Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kaliningrad, Yaroslavl, Sergiyev Posad, Samara, and Pskov make up the top 10 cities that are popular for trips on the Russia Day.

The analytical agency TourStat presented a rating of tourist cities in Russia for the cultural trips of fans during the days of the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia.

Sergiev Posad, Kolomna, Yaroslavl, Vladimir, Suzdal, Veliky Novgorod, Pskov, Kostroma, Krasnodar, and the Island City of Sviyazhsk in Tatarstan are among the top ten cultural cities of the 2018 FIFA World Cup popular with tourists outside the matches.

On May 26-30 the State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan has been conducting a series of onsite presentations in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Two events have already taken place in the cities of Tehran and Shiraz which were attended by about 400 representatives of local touristic sector.

Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, presented the republican touristic potential. The performance of the Sornai creative ensemble coming from the Republic of Tatarstan prominently represents the tatar people’s national colour and their hospitality. The next presentation will take place in the city of Mashhad on May 28 and on the following days also in the cities of Tabriz and Isfahan.

It should be noticed that it is planned by the State Committee in 2018 to launch a major advertising campaign in Iranian print media and television as well as reception of two groups of tour operators who will come to the Republic of Tatarstan for fam tours.
