Maslenitsa Festival "In Search of the Sun" in the Yelabuga State Preserve Museum

Throughout the Maslenitsa week from February 10th through February 18th in the Museum-Estate of N.A. Durova of the Yelabuga State Preserve Museum, the festive performances "In Search of the Sun" will take place within the framework of the program called "Fairy Tale Therapy."

 

The main characters of the fairy tale program are animals and birds, which will save the Sun from Baba Yaga in cooperation with the holiday guests. The participants in the performance will wake the Bear up from the hibernation and then convince the Wolf and the Fox that they should force Baba Yaga to return the Sun to heaven, because its return will make Maslenitsa come along with the long-awaited spring.

Guests will be accompanied by the Cockerel – Golden Comb and Nibbly-Quibbly the Goat. The participants in the program are expecting a flamboyant flash mob, funny games, and competitions, an ice slide, burning of a Maslenitsa scarecrow, hot pancakes with tea, horse riding!
