On behalf of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan and on my own behalf I congratulate all representatives of tourism industry of the Republic and all those associated with the tourism industry – tour operators, travel companies, hoteliers, guides, transport companies, public catering facilities – everyone who provides comfortable and safe recreation on a professional level on the World Tourism Day!

The Republic of Tatarstan with its vast potential confidently ranks among the most visited tourist attractions along with the large centers such as Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

The Republic of Tatarstan has unique historical, cultural and natural resources that give the opportunity for the development of many types of tourism: excursional, cruise, eco, medical, pilgrimage, business. More and more tourists visit interesting places of the Republic, each of which has unique culture, ethnic composition, natural conditions, history and architecture.

Tourism is one of the most powerful and significant industries in the world economy that determines the quality of population life. So, let's love tourism and work for the benefit of the industry, for the benefit of people, for the benefit of the Republic!

Today in the State Committee the certificates of qualification upgrade of a standard form and the certificate of the Federal Agency for tourism have been handed to the trainees of the first training phase.

The Federal Agency for Tourism is implementing «The nationwide system of training and qualification upgrade of tourism industry specialists» project under «The development of domestic and inbound tourism in the Russian Federation (2011-2018)» Federal Target Program.

The system provides the qualification upgrade of tourism industry specialists, and also of line personnel in intramural and virtual form. The programs include the most acute issues that reflect the current situation of the tourism industry.

In 2018 the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rosturism) holds the training on 17 programs of qualification upgrade and professional retraining using the funds of the Federal budget.

More than 150 specialists of the Republic of Tatarstan operating in the field of tourism and hospitality have successfully completed the registration for qualification upgrade under this project.

The representatives of hotels, educational institutions, tourism organizations, representatives of the Guides Guild of the Republic of Tatarstan, and also of the authorities in the field of tourism participated in the program on behalf of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Sergei Ivanov has met with tour operators of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who are staying in Tatarstan on a reference visit. During the meeting the tourism opportunities of the Republic of Tatarstan were presented, the videos were shown. Also the most interesting issues about tourism in the Republic were discussed in the question and answer form.

Guests has been staying in Tatarstan from 16 to 20 September on promotional tour round the Republic of Tatarstan. During this period, they will visit the main tourist centers such as Kazan and the town-island of Sviyazhsk, the Great Bolgar, where they will get acquainted with the new «Kol Gali resort and SPA» hotel complex. Also during the visit, they will get aquianted with the hotels of Kazan and will hold meetings with the tour operators of the Republic.

Let us remind that on September 2 the «ATA Airlines» Iranian airline made its first direct flight between Tehran and Kazan. Regular flights are carried out twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays, the flight time is 3 hours and 20 minutes.

480 pupils from Moscow, Vladimir, Nizhnii Novgorod, Tula, Novosibirsk, Kaluga, Iaroslavl and Riazan regions and from the Republics of Udmuria and Mordovia visited the Republic of Tatarstan in 2018 within the four-days Great Volga path route.

School pupils visited the capitals of two Volga region republics – Kazan and Ioshkar-Ola, got acquainted with Bolgar ancient city and the orthodox holy places located in the the town-island of Sviyazhsk, tasted the tatar and mari national cuisines, immersed themselves in the historical atmosphere of the Kazan Kremlin. So, the participants could visit three places of the World Heritage list of the UNESCO at one stroke.

The travel on the Great Volga path route passed within “My Russia 2018” National Program of Children’s Cultural and Educational Tourism.

The funding of all the expenses associated with the stay of the pupils and the accompanying people is performed by using the funds of the federal budget.

The Great Volga path route connecting the Republics of Tatarstan and Mari El was included into “My Russia” program in 2018.

Till the end of this year approximately 1000 children from different territorial subjects of the Russian Federation are planned to pass by this route.

Why did this dish become a hero of such a bright celebration?

From the moment of its formation fishing was one of the main and the most popular crafts on the island of Sviyazhsk. Since the XVI century this activity has been considered as one of the most profitable ones among the inhabitants of the island. Most often the networks of local fishermen were filled with breams. It was this fish which has become one of the symbols of the island and has been honored to be a part of the Sviyazhsk emblem.

As we can see, fishing has been and still remains the important part of the local population life. Its value was so great that during the fish spawning there was no bell ring in the city around the river. So, it is not surprising that since the ancient times the island old residents have been sharing the secrets of cooking this flavorful dish – ukha – to the younger generation. We offer you not just to see the delicious festival, but also to become its participants, cooks, tasters and just active viewers!

The nourishing Sviyazhsk ukha, which will be served for free, is waiting for all festival guests!

The ukha treating begins at 12.30 at the «Lazy Torzhok» Historical Reconstruction Complex Ground.

For traveling to Iran the Russian citizens need a visa, however for the Kazan citizens this procedure is very easy and comfortable. In Kazan there is the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The application for visa is filled in on the website www.e_visa.mfa.gov.ir/en/ (the data is processed within 3-5 days), then you must come to the Consulate with your passport, pay for the visa fee and obtain your visa. It costs 5600 Rubles.

The Final of the VI «Young Professionals» National Championship (WorldSkills Russia) took place on August 8-12, 2018 in the city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The employees of «Tatintur» LLC Semenova Vita and Strakhova Anna performed on the national team of the Republic of Tatarstan on the competence of Tourism. According to the results of the Championship the participants from the Republic of Tatarstan took the third place. We congratulate the girls on the deserved victory and thank them for honorably representing our Republic at the Championship.

The Top-5 of touristic events for the nearest weekend includes the following trips: to Saint-Petersburg for the Saint-Petersburg River Carnival, to the Great Bolgar, Tatarstan for the Medieval Fighting Festival, to Samara region for the Grushin Festival, to Rostov for the Rostov Performance Festival and to Ruza, Moscow region for the Milk River Festival.

The Great Bolgar Medieval Fighting International Festival will take place on August 11 and 12 on the territory of the Bolgar Reserve Museum in the towin of Bolgar, Spasskii district, the Republic of Tatarstan. The program of the Great Bolgar-2018 includes knight battles, a horse competition, medieval fighting competitions, artisan fairs and master classes of reenactors, medieval dances and music. Buses will depart to the festival from Kazan, Almetevsk and other cities of Tatarstan. In 2017 the Great Bolgar Festival was visited by 47 thousand people.

In Cheboksary, preparation began for the final tour of the Regional Competition of the National Award in the field of event tourism of the Russian Event Awards of the Volga and Ural Federal Districts, which will be held from September 26th to September 27th. The arrangers of the regional competition are the Administration of the city of Cheboksary and FROS Region PR.

The Association "The Historical Fencing and Reenactment Complex 'Lazy Torzhok'' invites you in Sviyazhsk to visit the event "The Historic Reenactment Complex 'Lazy Torzhok'" on July 28th, 2018.
