480 сhildren visited the Republic of Tatarstan within the Great Volga path route.

480 pupils from Moscow, Vladimir, Nizhnii Novgorod, Tula, Novosibirsk, Kaluga, Iaroslavl and Riazan regions and from the Republics of Udmuria and Mordovia visited the Republic of Tatarstan in 2018 within the four-days Great Volga path route.

School pupils visited the capitals of two Volga region republics – Kazan and Ioshkar-Ola, got acquainted with Bolgar ancient city and the orthodox holy places located in the the town-island of Sviyazhsk, tasted the tatar and mari national cuisines, immersed themselves in the historical atmosphere of the Kazan Kremlin. So, the participants could visit three places of the World Heritage list of the UNESCO at one stroke.

The travel on the Great Volga path route passed within “My Russia 2018” National Program of Children’s Cultural and Educational Tourism.

The funding of all the expenses associated with the stay of the pupils and the accompanying people is performed by using the funds of the federal budget.

The Great Volga path route connecting the Republics of Tatarstan and Mari El was included into “My Russia” program in 2018.

Till the end of this year approximately 1000 children from different territorial subjects of the Russian Federation are planned to pass by this route.
