On September 9, 2018 «The town-island of Sviyazhsk» State Historical-Architectural and Arts Museum and the «Lazy Torzhok» Association invite all lovers of good food and having fun to one of our favorite holidays – the «Sviyazhsk Ukha - 2018» gastronomic festival

Why did this dish become a hero of such a bright celebration?

From the moment of its formation fishing was one of the main and the most popular crafts on the island of Sviyazhsk. Since the XVI century this activity has been considered as one of the most profitable ones among the inhabitants of the island. Most often the networks of local fishermen were filled with breams. It was this fish which has become one of the symbols of the island and has been honored to be a part of the Sviyazhsk emblem.

As we can see, fishing has been and still remains the important part of the local population life. Its value was so great that during the fish spawning there was no bell ring in the city around the river. So, it is not surprising that since the ancient times the island old residents have been sharing the secrets of cooking this flavorful dish – ukha – to the younger generation. We offer you not just to see the delicious festival, but also to become its participants, cooks, tasters and just active viewers!

The tourist potential of Yakutia was presented at the State Committee.

A zoom presentation of the tourism potential of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) to representatives of the tourism industry of the Republic of Tatarstan was held today at the State Committee. The tourism development strategy and trends in the development of ecotourism in Tatarstan were discussed in the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan

Today, in the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, a round table was held on the topic “Development of ecological, rural and industrial tourism in the Republic of Tatarstan”. In 2020, the tourist flow in Tatarstan amounted to 1.9 million people, which is 47% lower than a year earlier. It is planned to restore the tourist flow to pre-crisis levels in the region thanks to large blocks of events. Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke about them at a round table in the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. “The tourism sector in 2020 showed the largest decline. In 2020, the flow of tourists in Tatarstan amounted to 1.9 million people, which is 47% lower than a year earlier. The volume of the tourism sector last year amounted to about 19 billion rubles, which is 40% lower than a year earlier. We saw new niches and opportunities. We continued to work on priority areas for the development of the tourism sector, which are reflected in the strategy of socio-economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan until 2030 and the strategy for the development of tourism until 2021 and for the planning period until 2030,” he said.

The shift will help to grow professionally in the tourism industry and provide additional materials for research work. Participation in the shift is free.
